i've been trying to avoid posting this, due to extreme paranoia but its time to post my story.

i hope to not post too many details, as we've avoided being df so far, our group elder was young and lovely and cool and i just hope that in time he learns the ttatt.. i'm a regular lurker on here, occasional poster (i can't post much as my phone browser only lets me read but not post, so i only post on the odd occasion i get a time alone on the pc).

i have been fading since round about last september ( so almost my first anniversary of learning ttatt).

I do not know what kind of cancer your son has, but treatments

have advanced and so have survival rates across the board.

Stay away from nutty wittnesses who will try to get you to go to

Mexico for "miracle" cures. All the wittneses I knew who took this route

are now dead. I had third stage advanced invasive and aggreessive cancer,

That was 20 years ago. I sought to the most agressive chemotherapy and

radiation and surgery, not pretty, but I am here, alive and well, so I am glad I did it.

I thought I was reading some Scientology rule book.

The "workers" take a vow of poverty ?

and celibacy ? And they belong to a special "World Order"?

The language is right out of the Da Vinci Code.

No knowledge of Greek or Hebrew required for translators?

This is worse than the Catholic Church in its darkest hour.

Absolutely astounding. Should be required reading for every

witness who has any lingering thoughts that the WT has any

connection to God or truth. Nothing sets you free like the pure

unmasked view of this organization at its core.

Help!! Don't know where to start

ok so to start... i am still an active jw... but only because i cannot get out yet... i am slowly planning to get out.... i should really read hassan's cult control book... it seems like i am getting everything wrong in trying to help the people i know to know ttatt.. so i will need your help, all of you dear people.. my current, actual beliefs are pretty much agnostic... no belief in any particular dogma, but i believe there is a higher power out there.... there are so many things on my mind... for example,.

1. the fact that no nt manuscript contains the name "jehovah".

2. the blood doctrine.

Have you read Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz ?

He dissects every little detail bit by bit. Many still need

to cling to the idea we have "special Knowledge" Its a cozy

cocoon of what they dilusionally believe is some kind of "safety"

The idea "we know things" other people do not and that to question

anything the WT says is "dangerous" the fear factor is enormous and the

punishments for questioning or "independent thinking" are absolute banishment.

If you have family, or work for jw's or have to be cautious or have relatives

who will shun you, proceed with caution. Free yourself from within

and find some way to exit with the least trauma.

Resistance is futile in the Borg.

All of these Basics were being taught to Charles Taze Russell's by Adventists in

19th Century American Adventist movement, as well as all the

Bible chronology, the timelines for the End Times. The Watchtower

keeps claiming it has some " Special Knowledge" and that is not true.

WT destroying old literature

i was approached by an elder about a year ago asking what i am going to do with my large collection of wt literature.

he told me the society had put word out that they were collecting old literature.

i asked him why but he couldn't give me a definite answer.

I hate to be the most sceptical and cynical one here but; this kenyakelly could be working

independently, using his inside access to make some money from ex-jws who want to

retain proof of the societies actual track record and trail of stupidity and fraud.

Remember, it was from inside Bethel that all the expose and take down of WT doctrine

was generated, from those who were in the inside circle and saw the wizards behind the

curtain.

I went to, mister charming. Hadn't seen him in years, asked him about the famous

pedophile, of 20 years ago, he was nervously evasive, couldn't comment on why

the peophile was never arrested and doesn't appear on any Megans Law list, even thogh he still

lives next to an Elementary school. He said it "was outside his sphere of influence" Really ?

My guess they are shredding all evidence of these past cases.

today i went on my instragram and realized that one of the jw "friends" i have on there didn't have any or her wt propaganda, and propaganda i mean pictures of her and all the children (under 10) she is studying with and helping to bring in the truth.

so i looked to see if she was still "following me" nope, so i looked to see if i was still "following her" nope, which means she blocked.

so then i go on to my jw facebook and she is no longer friends with me..... so now i know what you are thinking, she has blocked and unfrieded me because she saw my apostate video...or word finally reached her.....nope!

While it is futile in most cases, to try to "rescue" a jw

I keep thinking,, what if, someone credible had shown me

the same things that finally released me ? Crisis of Conscience

did that for so many people. It was a reasoned argument, well

stated in a non threatening way and the impact of that book

was cleansing and freeing to so many. You never know who

you are talking to and something just might take down the veil

that is covering their eyes. I imagine the pedophile cases, if they

become well enough known, might release many.
