  i will like to share some facts about the spanish congregations in usa.

  The Spanish friends were different because they arrived already fully formed

  by their own culture and their previous religions, which were based on chairty

  and helpinbg others in need. However there is a strong cultural bias towards

  men being in charge of women in Latin culture. Latin culture is very community

  oriented and anywhere in Latin America there is a culture of festivals and celebrations

  of so many kinds, I cannot imagine Latins being attracted to the WT except for the

  fact the WT as an organization is very similar to the Catholic Church and its "Mystical"

  Governing Body" as "Sole Channel of Communication Between Man and God" mimics

  exactly the Pope as the Vicar of Christ, and the long list of "forbidden things" are like

  the Seven Deadly Sins, so there are many parallels. Pioneers are "Nuns" and Elders

  are "Priests", women are in "subjection". Instead of lighting candles, you "hand in time"

  "Doing the Rosary" becomes underlining the Watchtower articles, lots of rituals and

  lots of fear, to replace mere hellfire, "threat of disfellowshipping" replaces Hellfire.

  In my 30 years experience living as a JW I never observed any actual spiritual change

  in anyone. The WT produces people isolated from any understanding of a spiritual experience,

  in fact it produces spiritually dead people who live entirely material lives, the WT is famous for

  its absolute lack of charity, or compassion, or accountabilty to community, or even to each other

  within the "organization". It is fear motivated, hierarchy driven, and motivated by outward show,

  of dress , money, status and power. It is no place for the weak, the old or the poor or most of all

  a dangerous place for women not protected by a powerful "owner".

  Racism and abuse is simply denied.

  Ignorance and the fear of education permeates every teaching, while anyone (male only )

  who arrives with a profession or an education is idolized.

  It is a caste system. It is delusional, lock-step mentality, blind to its faults,

  in denial of its own lies, wallowing in its false sense of security.

  Know it all, got all the answers to everything, God likes me best.

  I actually heard some young dillusional woman, comment in a WT study,

  with extreme smugness " We have the Faithful and Discreet Slave. "

  The distortion of the scriptures used to support that doctrine are ridiculous.

  Dillusional thinking and allusions of Grandeur. Smirks of self satisfaction.

  Its obscene to behold since their conduct is disloyal, and they abandon their

  financially needy members for the State to take care of.

  They shun any one who questions anything and make lists of people

  they can talk about and then take pleasure and derive a sense of superiority

  from abandoning their life long friends and relatives.

  From checking back on those who are still "in"

  from years ago, its a hollow facade driven by

  habit, fear, and lack of imagination, they keep going

  but its like a tired hamster on a wheel, round and round

  they go, mostly a social club. "Service" is a meaningless

  chore to most and so called bible studies go mainly nowhere.

  They are addicted to meetings. They can't stop or they become

  confused. I am quite serious here. Newcomers in third world

  countries see it as a link to a support system, and America.

  The bible condemns Christian religions that teach, Wait!

  know where in the bible will you find christian religions being condemned for teaching the trinity or hell fire doctrines, but you will find jesus condemning those that come as messiah's or christs (both mean anointed) and declaring 'the time is near'.

  you will also find paul cursing anyone that preaches a gospel different then the apostles preached as well as cursing those that change or add to the bible.

  oh darn jw's thats you, you fit the bill in all of these!!!!!!

  SFPW - ???? Have you ever just sat down ad read the book of John ?

  the book of James? How about anything in the new testament that is

  recorded as the words of Jesus Christ. ??? In no scripture does Jesus

  mention two classes of "sheep" The reference to other sheep, was to

  Gentiles that were to be brought into the one flock. One hope, one flock.

  No classes, no organization mentioned, no need for any men to be a "sole channel of communication"

  since there was only one mediator between God and mankind and that was and is Jesus Christ,

  direct up close and personal. That was the whole message, the whole gospel.

  The Watchtower preaches a different gospel and is therefore accursed.

  i have been posting for a few months now and have read the life stories of tech49, confusedandalone, winston smith and other brothers who have held prominent positions in the organization who were dismissed not for any gross sins, but mainly for not keeping their child toeing the line.

  they have been "cast aside", nit picked to death, and made to feel unworthy for their years of dedicated service.

  even in my case, having my best friends treat me like the plague to jockey for position of recogntion.. is this what the organization is resorting to now?

  Its not "weeding out" a disgusting term, used to make you feel "lesser than" or "defective"

  Its all about intimidation, power, politics, creating fear and distrust, spying on you, judging you,

  isolating you and finally abandoning you. All presented as "purifying" the "organization"

  Gorgia - interesting - mid thirties, born-in, and clueless to what a "governing body" is or probably about

  anything the WT teaches. Or its history. Yet he somehow relates to it as "his people" Bound on the inside

  not by belief or religious doctrines but something else, an identity to a group. This could literally be the Sikhs,

  where a young Sikh sees a turban and is triggered to feel connection to group. This no longer becomes an argument

  about various doctrines, certainly not a "search for truth" in this young man's case, since he never thought at all about

  what religion he was following or understood it or believed anything. Fitting in. This is what causes people who see

  the "Truth about the Truth" but still attend meetings, like a soothing ritual of familiarity. Like Catholics who cross themselves

  and do not believe in God. Its learned ritual. It might as well be a motorcycle club, bound by symbols on leather jackets.

  Or like any fraternity. The need to belong.

  why not make the bible a blank book and when you open it, it addresses you personally in writing of course.

  for random anything and what exactly is his world view?

  from cofty I see nothing but, anti-life, anti-love, anti-hope.

  wallowing in what seems to be depression and a level of

  thinking we see in nine year old boys, or two year old's

  having temper tantrums.
