  i am pretty sure it has been discussed before here, but i just wanted to express how repulsive it is to me to see all that jw.org worship.. after looking at this picture, can you tell me where the jws are heading to?.

  Need a Game Plan

  i'm not sure what is going on at the convention, but i just got a desperate call from a friend wanting me to attend sunday's morning session.

  last weekend, my mom invited me too.instead of saying something like, "i'm sorry, but i have no intention of going back," and having them completely freak out - i agreed to go to the sunday morning session.

  any recommendations?

  This is an appeasement move. I don't plan on going back, although I have to admit to considering it lately just because I'm having a hard time making friends on the outside. I feel like as long as I am open, and willing to talk and at least consider what they have to say - BAFH

  You have identified by this statement, the core damage

  the WT does to people, it isolates them from feeling "normal"

  You are alone in a crowd ? You feel you are "on the outside"

  That is a result of your de-socialization by the WT.

  You seem to retain some fundamental attachment to the "Society"

  the "Organization" which indicates you may also believe,

  "they have the truth" And to "survive" you have to be "associated"

  Tell me when I getting warm. Have you read Crisis of Conscience ?

  If not do so, because its an INSIDERS book. General books on cults

  will not do the job, this is the 'Man' speaking from the throne of the

  Governing Body to let you in on the real truth about who they are

  and who they are not.

  I was there, when all the "Excitement" was blazened all over the

  Awake and Watchtower about 1975, people were very, very, excited.

  So taken in that they sold their houses, and went pioneering, gave up everything,

  sent their money to the WT. Because the New System was upon us in 1975,

  It was a sure thing, we could taste it. And when it all collapsed ( as all predictions

  and vague promises of the WT do ) The WT did not give any money back,

  and they BLAMED the common publishers , and took no responsibilty for

  what they had written and declared at big conventions, that 1975 was the end

  of 6,000 years and the beginning of the Thousand Year Reign of Christ.

  So how are you enjoying the first 39 years of the Thousand Year Reign of Christ ?

  You need to really work on deprogramming yourself, get help. JOIN something,

  lots of things, go to College !! Join a team. Travel club, hiking club, bike club,

  Volunteer and do some REAL Christian service.

  angels and women

  i was told by jw's that angels came down to earth before the flood, and had children with women.. i have a question about this and would like the sort of answer a jw would give so that i can be ready for them when they come to my door.. if one third of god's angelic staff were banished to earth, are they doing this now?.

  if not, what is stopping them?.

  if so, where are all these half angel children?.

  Who knows what any particular term meant in

  the original languages ? The term "name" referred

  to a label, a reputation, as in:made a name for himself.

  or "your good name" so that proclaiming the,

  name of God, may refer to the reputation or character

  or even existence of, God. Sons of God, is used to refer to

  people, angels , Jesus as a singular son and his disciples.

  What does it actually mean? It could mean a creation of

  a living being of any kind or of a human or human like

  enitity. Soul , what does that mean ?

  The Bible referes to both animals and people as souls.

  Spirit, refers to some element associated with:

  examples: sparrows, who die and their spirit returns to God.

  Holy spirit, capiltalized or not, was used to refer to some

  outside helper or also to spirit within a person and

  the spirits of animals and all living things. The only thing

  we can observe is that there is both good and evil.

  Angels who fell to earth, or went to earth or were cast down to earth ?

  Angels who materialized bodies, and took on human form ?

  Are they here among us ? Or their offspring, the Nephilim ?

  Are they here but in another dimension ? Or in the flesh ?

  Are fallen Angels in prison or once in prison but now released ?

  Allowed to do certain things but not have free reign ?

  The Holy Spirit is spoken of as dwelling in us, and the demons

  are described as possessing or dwelling in people and animals.

  Is it madness or is it real ? Remember, even the top scientists

  with all their math and observations have determined we only

  can perceive 4% of what actually exists. There are forces acting

  on us and with us and for us and against us, that we cannot see.

  Thats science and Quantum Physics. So being dogmatic is useless.

  This was in New York City - and this many cops were available

  for a man suspected of peddling cigarettes without a license ???

  While heroin dealers and cystal meth labs and murders were

  occuring ? There is a violent murder every day in New York City.

  So with this one, make that two for this sad day. What a waste

  and what a huge impact of his six children and two grandchildren.

  I am stunned by this. I am haunted, by the words " I can't breathe"

  if there was a pill you could give to your jw family members that would awaken their eyes to the truth about the cult, would you give it to them?.

  most would probably say yes.. but what about those who are completely institutionalized, the elderly, the super zealous, the geeky kids who have no friends, the misfits?.

  some people need "boundaries", they need someone to lead and give them directions, they need a sense of belonging, even in an organization that has no social programs.

  Mikado - You have no such pill. This is an exercise in imagination.

  However having said that, I am a grandmother, and I can tell you

  that as we age, we tend to be more aware of our past course,

  and if the mind is in tact, it is an age of enlightenment and

  increased strength and awareness, and with that comes regret

  and repentance. That is without your help.

  Careful Mikado don't use the word "socialized" around Americans,

  they beieve it is worse than witchcraft, the very mention of the word

  will send Republicans with torches to march on the Whitehouse -

  Oh wait a minute, we Canadians already did that, in 1812, when we

  marched on Washington and burned down the Whitehouse,

  my profound apologies to all Americans. But I think they wrote

  it out of American history books, like several other embarrassments.

  There is some mechanism at work in their philosophy, I am

  trying to figure it out, this propensity to lie. If you question

  a JW about their beliefs, they will lie to you. Curious. They are

  able to do some sort of disconnect between who they think they

  are and the way they actually behave. Its almost like a split personality.

  I am Canadian, apparently I need to go outside and kiss the ground

  of my native country and burn incense to my red maple leaf flag.

  Thank God I am in Canada. Thank you Canada, the True North Strong and Free,

  well back to the hockey game. No co-pays here, all is well and we have the Queen

  looking over us, God Save the Queen. I feel so safe, really, seriously, I do.

  What foresight I had, to arrange to be born in Canada.

  if there was a pill you could give to your jw family members that would awaken their eyes to the truth about the cult, would you give it to them?.

  The WT is responsible for producing misfits and children who do not

  fit in. They are denied the basic childhood experiences of socializing

  and joining groups, and celebrations that connect them with their own

  age group. The children are their new target and the most vulnerable

  to the neurotic, delusional and shame based thinking, the WT pours

  down their little throats. If you do not learn how to fit in as children,

  fitting in as an adult is doubly difficult, because you have no practice.
