i think when people leave the organization, they lump it all together- jehovah- religion, organization, etc.

One thing I guess that gets me, is that Christians never seem to answer any questions. Or maybe they think they answer questions, but do not. So I must ask you, to answer the questions asked of you in this thread. It seems only fair to me.

I agree that it is a fact that humans have to answer for their own actions. Where I disagree is that the consequences are directly related to God's law, which I am not too clear and many other Christians are not clear on what they actually are. There are other faiths, that have a set of laws so to speak as well, are they considered doomed, because they aren't following the bible? How do you think they feel about Christianity?

In abandoning Jehovah AND the Watchtower, you are throwing out the nextdoor neighbor's baby with a tub of dirty bathwater in your own dwelling.

Please do explain how this is.

Based on your empty reasoning that connects God with the Watchtower, any organized religion you could have decided to join at any point during your lifetime -- from the hellfire-breathing Southern Baptists to any other right-wing Christian denomination -- would have equally incurred your insults to God.

I have never connected God and Watchtower. There are many here who do not.

This forum serves a useful purpose in showing the lengths people will go in using the Watchtower -- an organization that was subverted by a few elderly men with signature authority over the finances and their younger proteges -- to justify hatred for the fundamental concept of God.

Tell that to all the christians who post here Derrick. Now tell it to the atheists, and agnostics. Wait you did! lol Let me tell you, that even though I realize this is just your opinion, I can't help but feel sorry for you. How can you know why others do something, or feel a certain way. Your comments seem very judgemental to me.

My only hope is that one day you will have an accepting spirit and heart and show love and understanding much like the God you claim to worship professes to have in the bible.

I really want to read the April 15th watchtower now. I could never understand and still don't why they baptize babies and condemn the Catholics for doing the same. When my brother was baptized, my mom called and gloated. My response was, "Is he old enough to get married? Dedicate his life to a wife? Of course not and he is not old enough to dedicate his life to a religion either." There was a sister in our hall who helped her 7 year old get baptized by reading her all the questions, over and over again. They even had a special talk about her, because most in the hall were upset she was getting baptized. She soon was on several DC stages talking about what a wonderful experience it was yadda yadda. I will ask around and see if she is still in, she must be in her late teens now.

As for the apostate speel, why do they insist on intertwining Jehovah with the WTBTS? It has been said so much the JWs can't seperate them any longer. And just because apostates leave the org does not mean they are liars. Painting with a broad brush has always been their charecteristics. Demonize them make them evil, and an active JW will run far away from anyone who has a differing viewpoint.

There are still a few DC scheduled here this year. I may go and mumble these thoughts for those surrounding me lol

Great topic ISP!

I can't remember who posted it or where, but it was the activity list for a Espicopal church(I believe) The lists is endless of things to do after all the rules have been shed. Taking music, art, cooking etc, etc classes. Joining a bowling league, a hockey team, softball, bikers club. Becoming an lazy *ss on Saturday mornings lol. So many things to do out there.

I understand the need that JW's have to be lead, they are so controlled. The demons and Satan are everywhere to them. If they just take one step at a time and see how full this world is with good people, then it will be easier for them to join in the next adventure.

I understand what you are saying. When I was a christian, *I* felt personally slighted when someone questioned my faith, or made derogatory comments to the God I chose to believe in. But I must tell you, when I fully took my blinders off, it was a very freeing experience. It is very hard NOT to comment now, when a person attempts to defend their faith. As a matter of fact Andee beat me to what I was going to ask ya haha Many here still believe in God, so don't feel alone.

About privacy on the forum

kent and his merry followers seem to have made privacy their latest crusade and unfortunately they have decided to act in a completely irresponsible manner imho.. the forum software uses cookies to remember a users login details and can also be useful for identifying duplicate accounts.

it is not used for anything sinister and cannot be used to identify someone - all it gives is an indication that a computer is being used by more than one username and has been invaluable in identifying trouble makers like mario kempes / yo yo mama / sexy teen / help others (asking for money) and many others.

i believe that this is a good thing to do as i do not believe it compromises anyones privacy and does help prevent everyone wasting their time responding to people who are just "yanking our chain".. apart from the accounts that you have seen and know there are many more that you may not be aware of.
