I was wondering what this was all about. Sad to see AAWA is taking the heat for this.

i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .
aawa "did not" create the facebook awaa fan page.

oh how i wish i could just write out something that would cause you all to know and understand that what i say is true.
or i wish i could tell yall that i am going to do something like cause an earthquake (with jehovahs spirit backing me) at a certain place and time, then after i posted such info then it occurred just as i said...then maybe you would listen and believe what i say.. .
and even more so, your lack of knowledge and belief in jehovah and in his word the bible.
AAWA isn't a threat. It's a rescource for people who have questions or need help. This includes active witnesses, interested ones and ex witnesses. People need support. They need a source for help. They need someone who can understand what they are going thorough.
If you watch the video, you will see it clearly says that AAWA is not against witnesses. They simply feel that every witness should be guranteed the right to have medical treatment, an abuse free existence, an education and a right to remain in a loving family even if they disagree with WT mandates or doctrine.
AAWA will help create a central community for ones who need assistance. They can answer questions. Witnesses can still be witnesses. It's not an attack on the JW beliefs.
i was think about getting reinstated, and then do a fade right after because of family ties..
Depends on how sadistic the elders at your particular hall are. Do you have connections or family ties with any of the higher ups that might be made to look better should you return? Or, are they against you? I remember seeing the same elder's son get DF'd and reisnstated 3 different times in 3 years. He'd be gone for a couple of months and then be back to meeting. 2 weeks later, they announce he's a JW again. On the other hand, I saw an old lady who got DF'd for smoking get put off for months and months after kicking her habit. I think they just liked to see her grovel. She'd sit in the back row and cry at every meeting. She never missed meetings while she was DF'd at all.
Also, depends on how good you are at faking how sorry you are. I myself could never ever do it.
Good Luck!

facebook the association of anti-watchtower activists.
Hooray! This is going to be great!
reading cedar's excellent article about the july 15, 2013 new-light" study edition of the watchtower got me thinking:.
the control freaks in brooklyn known as the governing body (aka fds) must be having conniption fits knowing that there is a mole in bethel leaking information to apostates!
"three weeks ahead of its expected release date in mid-april, a scanned copy of the july 15 2013 "study edition" of the watchtower was leaked to the office of jwsurvey by a conscientious active witness within the organization.".
Londo111 I was thinking the same thing! Tobias is my hero!
i believe that if a non regular meeting attender shows up for at least the memorial "celebration", it's a sign, that possibly, the person is saveable.
not all hope is lost for them.. i heard that last year, the rumour was that i was going to show up and sit with my mother....(of course, that never happened).. so, if you attended or if your family member or wayward friend showed up, they might have a chance for everlasting (earthly) life, after all!.
I found it amazing that my parents fully expected me to attend the memorial after I left the JWs, especially considering the circumstances of my departure! All I could do was laugh when my mom actually called to let me know that I needed to make arrangements with the courts to have the protection orders against my dad and ex suspended for the night. (That's a long story you can read in my intro. post if you are so inclined). She just assumend I'd be there. The next few years, she sent me invites, but then stopped. I had myself put on the do-not-call list in the town I moved to, so I don't get invited anymore. :(
gods word for us through jeremiah page 128 '..his mother bought a ram and a ewe.
he looked after them, and the ewe produced two lambs a year, so the flock began to grow..."early one morning while i was still in bed," he recalls, "i heard them bleating.
when i finally did, i saw a pack of wild dogs running away from my lambs, which had their bellies ripped open.
I remember being in Kindergarten and asking my then non-believeing dad 'why he didn't want to live forever?'. I knew for a fact that he would be "bird food" if he didn't do what needed to be done. I had heard it all my life, so to me it didn't seem morbid. It was just a matter-of- fact, everyday knowledge situation. Of course, I'd also been endrocinated to belive that what I was told was the truth and that empathy for others was a sign of weakness.
so, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.
i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.
from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.
I say Kudos to you!
If just one person was saved from being involved with this cult, you have done a service to your fellow man. It's not your fault that they didn't abide by the rules. It's also not your fault that they didn't make arrangements to compensate for the schedules of those attending. Imagine if soemone were to hold a legal protest outside the event drawing attention to any of the number of JW policies that harm people (hiding sexual abuse, shunning, mistreatment of women, etc.), if you went an inch too close, they'd be on the phone to the authorities. You had every right to make your inquiry & they made the decision to move the event.
just found this on youtube.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1eic5fiywe.
not that i blame them for making the most of an otherwise dreary event, but i've never known a memorial to be treated like a high school prom before!.
cedars.
The memorial was always one of the best excuses to get a new dress!
