Ingham's is prepared to donate $100 million to the church if you change the Lord's Prayer from "give us our daily bread" to "give us our daily chicken." The P ope responds, "That's impossible. The prayer is the word of the Lord and must not be changed." "Well," says the Ingham' man, "we anticipated your reluctance, for this reason we are prepared to offer you $300 million. All that we require is that you change the Lords Prayer from "give us our daily bread" to "give us our daily chicken." Again, t he Pope responds, "That's my son is impossible. For t he prayer is the word of the Lord and must not be changed." Finally, the Ingham's guy say, "your Holiness, we at Ingham's respect your adherence to your faith, but we do have one final offer. We will donate $500 million-that's half a billion dollars-to the Great Catholic Church if you would only change the Lord's Prayer from "give us our daily bread" to "give us our daily chicken. Please consider it" And he leaves. The next day the Pope convenes the College of Cardinals. "There is some good news and there is somebad news" he annouces. "The good news is that the Church will come into $500 million." "And the bad news" asks a Cardinal. "We are losing the Tip Top Account."

Awake 8th Nov Picture

i have been told that the picture was taken during a convention and a young person is giving the 'finger' at the time the photo was snapped.
i do not have access to the mag but it would be interesting to see if something like that was allowed to slip through.

Hey Aussies, Is Peter Brock a Dub?

i had heard ages ago that he had become a dub.
surely the wts would 'tut 'tut at him engaging in such a "dangerous worldly activity" as motor racing?

I doubt that Peter (Perfect) Brock is a witness. I remember being told that he was baptised, at about 6 different assembly/conventions. he was recently on TV saying that a magnetic device that mysteriously made cars drive better. This caused him much drama a number of years ago. If he was 'in' I don't think he would be back at Bathurst.

)" (can't remember the exact address but it was a few doors down from the old aussie bethel at strathfield.).

No big story, I was in my early teens and everyone around me was getting dipped. Why not me? Getting dipped is the fast track to respectability when you are young. What about minors not being competent to enter into a contract? Especially when the outcome of defaulting on the contract is so serious.
