Lost, I took my daughter to see it yesterday (actually posted on an earlier thread about this very subject!)
I couldn't help but feel like the story was VERY familiar as well!
The tale of living in "the dark" because of fear Resonated very loudly for me. A very good movie, and my five year old liked it too!

two big ones for me:.
it pushes people to the edge and when they commit suicide they say: "well he wasn't really a jw anyways soit has nothing to do with us".. it pushes people so much to do more and more and more that they get depressed, and physically sick.

I took my 5 yr old daughter to see the Disney movie "The Croods" yesterday. For me it was like art imitating life.
The movie is about a family of Cave people who are SO afraid of leaving their cave, for fear of what might be out in the world, all of the big bad things that will hurt them - that they stay holed up in the dark for days and weeks on end, only coming out into the light when they absolutely HAVE to for food.
When they finally are forced to venture out of the cave and into the light, they are amazed to figure out that they had not been LIVING at all, but merely existing.
Fear rules all from what I have seen from the Watchtower Society. Living under such an immense shadow of fear is life crippling in so many ways.

Mojitos! (very refeshing drink originally from Cuba)
10 limes, fresh pulp and juice
30 leaves fresh mint
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup white rum
club soda, chilled
Directions:

Place lime juice, mint and sugar into a pitcher.2 crush mint leaves to release mint oils, and dissolve sugar into juice.
