stuck in!
by red so deep inwell, this is my first post here, and i'm kind of doing it in secret, cause i know if my parents knew of my "poisoning myself with apostates" they would not be happy at all.
anyways, my story is; i'm 17, i've been brought up "in the truth" my whole life, and now i'm starting to question the wt and christianity in general, and i have nobody to talk to about it.
i feel awkward about talking to my witness friends about it, cause i worry that if i speak out against the organazition and the wrong people (i.e; young ones around here that would never think of questioning the society) hear about it, it might result in my punishment (reproof or dfing).

Catholic Church: Sorry little girl... you're going to hell
by Elsewhere inand there is nothing you can do about it because you can't eat bread!.
http://www.cnn.com/2004/us/08/19/communion.denied.ap/index.htmlchurch says girl's communion not valid.
brielle, new jersey (ap) -- an 8-year-old girl who suffers from a rare digestive disorder and cannot eat wheat has had her first holy communion declared invalid because the wafer contained no wheat, violating roman catholic doctrine.. haley waldman, 8, is shown in her communion gown in this undated family photo.. now, haley waldman's mother is pushing the diocese of trenton and the vatican to make an exception, saying the girl's condition should not exclude her from the sacrament, which commemorates the last supper of jesus christ before his crucifixion.

The real issue is: did the bread become the blood and body of Christ?
According to Catholic beliefs when a priest uses the correct materials and performs the rite correctly an actual miracle takes place. (not saying it does only that is the belief) the bred and wine become the body and blood of Christ. Using the correct materials but doing the rite incorrectly or doing the ritual correctly but using the wrong material results in no miracle taking place and so no body and blood of Christ. The church can not say that the kid received communion because she never ate the body and blood of Christ. It is nothing more then that. There is no looking into a hart involved. this is not a symbolic event to Catholics, a change takes place (to there thinking) and no change took place in the bread the kid ate. So no communion took place. I don't know why the mother has a problem with taking a teaspoon of water cut "blood of Christ". If she believes that is what communion is.

Catholic girl denied communion
by TallTexan indon't know if y'all have seen this, but it strikes me as very 'watchtower-ish".
basically, regardless of your desire to 'do what is right', if you can't do it how they say it's 'right', then you're screwed.
i don't agree w/ catholicism, but this little girl probably has nightmares of going to hell b/c the "holy" church won't let her take communion.. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5762478/?gt1=4529

A recovering alcholic would eat Big Tex. but we are talking a bout a teaspoon or so of liquid so it might not set most people in recovery off.

This is an old problem with an old solution. If the person can't eat, she/he drinks, no problem. My guess is the kids mom won't let her drink the blood and wants the church to change instead.
