  WT = Satan?

  an idea has crossed my mind.. i don't think that any other religion uses the words "new light" more than the watchtower.. satan is also known as lucifer.. but the root words for lucifer are the latin "lux" which means "light", and "ferre" which means "to carry".

  lucifer actually means "the light carrier".

  imho, this would make the gb the equivalent of lucifer.

  Hi Nicky,

  i don't open threads like the ones you would have banned from JWD much, but if i do and think i have somthing funny to add i will, even though some people take everything seriously. I will not subjecate myself to active JWs, i don't do it in person and i wont do it here. i'm very sorry you brought people here before they were ready and i understand the problems that are going to resulte from the choices you have made, but puting the blame on us is not appropriate. JWD is not exit counseling.

  i have been a jw now for about 6 years and have been the model witness.

  about a year ago i started reading my bible and writing down verses that i didn?t understand.

  ask your questions here on JWD, alotof us have also looked into the scriptures that are opining your eyes.

  some things the WT will not tell you about the Lord:

  You can call on Jesus to help you, you can offer him your pain, your self, your love and nothing can stop him from making you his.

  That is the question.

  We all know troops die, lots are willing to die for freedom, but not every war ends in freedom for the people we try to help. God willing this one will, the price is high.

  My Girlfriend's a JW, but I am not, What to do???

  just wondering if anyone can help, so heres a little insight into the situation.. we've been friens for ages but she always told me we could be nothing more she said "theres stuff you dont know about me & you wouldnt understand" but one night i kinda hinted that i knew and she fessed up not only bout being a jw but also bout how she felt only thing is she says its not gonna work, but she wants it to work she wants me to convert and i want her to leave the orgainization.

  her mothers been a witness for ten years but her father is not.

  also she hasnt paid much attention to it either till a few months ago and shes starting to get into it now.

  i pop a+ 2 get the magazine b/c no jws ever seem 2 came around.. he says it is rather annoying.
