  Some times in life, it just rains.

  this last june my wife and i were invited to a close friends wedding.

  june it a normally a hot month in our area, with blue skies and temperature in the mid nineties.

  it is not unusual for people to plan outdoor weddings, and take advantage of our nice summer climate.

  Hempy!!!! I have heard that rain on a wedding day means a long and happy marriage!

  There is a df'd girl who works in my building. She was df'd several years ago and a jw who worked in her office at the time told me so that I would shun her. I thought she would be so sad, miserable really. Yet, every time I saw her, she was radiant. So happy with life. She got married and still looks extremely happy all the time. When I told her I had walked away from the religion, she hugged me and we cried, right in the hallway. I love this girl so very much. Her positive attitude really helped me a lot to overcome my fears of leaving the organization.

  I'm soo excited!!

  i just had to share that we finally closed on our house... after waiting for almost 2 months!!

  just so everyone knows, when we get settled, i'm planning to have a "get together"< roflmao, never thought i'd use that phrase!

  so i may be inactive on here for awhile while we get settled!!

  I will be happy receiving anything, but here's a little about stuff I like:

  I am interested in learning Tarot.

  I would love to own a cigarette holder and/or metal case for my hand rolled....er...cigarettes.

  I like anything with Irises on it.

  Deep blue and yellow go well in my livingroom.

  I could sure use another pair of seamed stockings (that stay up by themselves).

  I can never have enough earrings (for pierced ears).

  Bath Oils

  Scotch is my liquor of choice.

  I enjoy sketching.

  Again, a gift from one of you will be treasured, no matter what it is.

  a world without god

  it was five or six years ago that it dawned on me... .

  ... the realization of what the world would be like if enough people finally figured out that there was no god.... no virtual santa claus that was checking on them (us) 24/7 and waiting at our life's end with blissful rewards or everlasting penalties.

  i figured that if even a handful of people figured that out as i had, we'd be in deep doo-doo.. now... i don't care much for religion.

  I think religion and what men do in the name of it is evil.

  The feelings I had about the Creator when I was a little girl and the feelings I get when I contemplate the beauty of nature erase all my doubts. I can't fathom why he lets things go on the way they do, either, Lyin. We supposedly have his attributes...so why would he allow his children to suffer so much? We wouldn't do this to our children.

  Is Travelling Good For The Soul?

  just a few days now, and her ladyship and i will be off on our travels abroad again.

  i've lost count of the number of countries that we have visited, although i do still want to travel to oz at sometime.. as we have got older, and more free, we seem to journey abroad more often.

  what i hadn't expected was the effect that travelling to other countries has on one's personality.

  I have traveled mostly in the US. My only trip out of the country has been to my birthplace, the Rep. of Panama. I was three-years-old when I left and went back for the first time to meet my dad several years ago. It was a wonderful experience, meeting my family there. I just about kissed the ground when I got off the plane, I had come home. Although it's a third-world country, it is extremely beautiful and friendly. My dad has a dairy near Volcan, very close to the Costa Rican border. I became a Panamanian.

  Hopefully, I will travel to other countries one day. Good for the soul? I think learning about other places definitely enriches you.

  Hi, Sweetie. I work in pr at a community college. I usually post on breaks or at night/early morning.

  Isn't it great here? I feel I've met some really nice people and I'm glad that they can post as often as they do.
