WERE YOU AFRAID OF THE ELDERS?
by minimus inlately, i see a trend going on regarding how congregation members view the elders.
more and more, i hear people say "i wouldn't tell anything to the elders if they questioned me.years ago all an elder had to say is "we want to talk with you" and a meeting commenced.
now, there is a view that the elders can't tell me what to do anymore.

"But you shouldn't have used them to attack me...Maybe that was part of the problem?"
You are right, Snoozy, I randomly picked you out of the crowd and paid people to attack you. Anybody out there looking for some extra income?

Would You Like A Drink?
by Xena injerry falwell, a well-known religious protector of 'public decency', was seated next to bill clinton on a recent flight.
after the plane was airborne, the flight attendant came around for drink orders.
clinton asked for a whiskey and soda which were brought and placed before him.

Does God change?
by thinker inrecently i read a thread about god's name.
so i did some research on the word "name" in the bible.
what i came away with is the question, "does god change?".

Personally I think God did a complete turnaround by the time Jesus came to earth. Talk about multiple personalities.

(((((((Lucky Lucy)))))))) It's people like you who make me want to come back and post again here! You have a very big heart and I hope that you don't leave.
There is a troll who has harrassed me over and over again on purpose. It's comical because this person feels she can slander people (by calling them liars and sarcastically digging at them whenever they post), and still be a victim. Can't you see that you are better than that? People who act that way cannot like themselves very much and have a need to make others look bad. That's not you!
I hold you in very high esteem, Lucy. I enjoy your posts very much and hope that you stick around. I know it's been said, but the person who you feel you've offended has forgiven you. Now it's time to forgive yourself.
Love ya!

Happy, my Swedish friend, no, you are not alone. I am so glad that you have come to see that. It has helped me so much to come to that realization, too. Like Prisca, when you first started posting at Timothy's site, I thought you were a troll and we had our disagreements. Your post has helped me to see that you are on a road to understanding, too. I wish you the very best in your search for truth and peace.

I just wanted to tell Cassi how very much I love her and I think that her tribute to me and my son is so beautiful. Your words are like a gentle breeze kissing my pain away. Thank you so much for caring about me and for your concern. It means more to me than you will ever know.
And to everyone else, thank you again for enveloping me in your love. I care about all of you and will never forget the kind things you have written to me.

I wasn't going to come back. A couple of members emailed me and told me what Cassi had done. I only told her about Eric because I was trying to explain my blue mood and why I had decided not to come back: that I just wasn't emotionally able to handle some of the things that I've experienced since I began posting.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your kind words to me. I don't know if I will post again, all I know is that your love has touched me greatly and I didn't realize how much I needed it. I miss my little boy. I miss a dear friend that I met through BJW. I wish that a certain poster would stop being so accusational and slanderous toward me. I can't change any of these things.
Thank you for being so kind to me, for letting me know that people still care about me.
Love you all,
Dottie -

Do you get disappointed if no one responds?
by Larry inwriting should be for our own edification - a personal cleansing, therapeutic at the least.
if you write for other people's approval, you will be disappointed, especially when you share your thoughts on the 'net.
i've seen many folks get 'burn-out' from these boards b/c they don't get the expected respond to their post.

Your points are well taken. If I ever come back to posting, I will just say whatever the fuck I want and not give a shit about pissing people off or getting approval or responses. I will also be as cold-hearted as I can be and not love people I meet at these places so intensely.
