i'm new here and this is the first post i make (i promise that more will come).
i have been following most of the posts made here quietly for about 4 months and i would like to thank all of you who are called apostates for the well documented and researched material you have presented here.thanks to you i know now the truth about the wt organization and i'm no longer blind and misled.
i disassociated myself about 2 months ago after 15 years of very "faithful" service to the society.i was regular pioneer for 12 years and an elder for 8 years, i served mainly as the service overeer.my experience was published in the 2 of the society's magazins.. as i was a very zealous and prominent elder in my circuit i zealously promoted the organizational rules and i allowed myself to be fully used by the society to promote those mind controle techniques that now i know hurt those who were my sheep.

My nonjw sister said a wonderful thing to me when I first told her I had left off being a jw and how sorry I was for the 30 years that I shunned her. as i went about my wifely duties today, i had a thought and would like the imput from some former brothers and/or elders, ms, po, co's.. since leaving the borg, has the way you view your wife/companion/daughter/sister/mother changed?
let me elaborate.
while being brought up a dub, i was taught that women were in subjection.
I have a female boss and I do her bidding. We've gotten into it a couple of times, but usually get along all right. The female boss I had before her was a real whacko. The head of our department is a handsome dude. He calls me 'Chela' and 'snake hips' (cause I lost some weight). He gives our office balance and has a really good mind. I like working for men.
I have met exjws and have been dating nonexjws for awhile now. I'm gonna say something that will probably piss some people off, but it's how I really believe. Some of the exjw men I've met have deep and lasting hang ups about the gov body and women. They carry a lot of baggage around inside them. I believe that they still feel that women are lesser creatures. Nonexjw men are not perfect and may even carry the same hangups for different reasons, but it is so refreshing to be around them. And, yes, they want sex, but so far I have been treated extremely well and it's fun to be doing things for sheer enjoyment. I don't think about jws at all when I'm around them.
Francois, I just wanna say right here that women can cuss just as good as men...so, there!

I've always felt that I was a little whacked out; can't give the org credit for that.
one of those subjects we all study at some point in school, is the holocaust.
i remember thinking before i learned about it, that i knew all the horrors of this event already.
after all, it had been mentioned on many programs.
I agree, Lew. We have to go through stages when we've been hurt, deceived and abused. Whether these things come from the governing body or someone you care about, you can move on and love again.

I got news for ya, comfy, I am not now, nor ever have been, holy. It's just way above me and I would consider myself pretentious if I went around acting like I was.
