Danny, my family in Panama won't admit to having Indian blood, but I think I must. Indian heritage is definitely a passion with me. My first husband was half Cherokee, from East Tennessee. My mother-in-law told me about the Trail of Tears, which I had never heard about before.
If I were to tell you about the experiences I have had on sacred ground, I would be deemed a crazy woman (or in Farkel's terms, a moron). All I will say publicly is that nature spoke to me. If you e-mail, I will tell you.
Several months ago, I met a full-blooded Comanche whose grandmother is a shaman. He teaches the traditions of his people to the children. Although it was a brief encounter, we connected immediately and he told me that I had the same aura as his grandmother (he probably meant wrinkles, but who cares?haha). They had a big deal up in LA this month and he called to invite me to it. I know that he wants me to buy some of the things he makes (which I really want to), but he really wanted me to meet his grandmother. I couldn't attend, but I hope I will hear from him again.
I would love to see the places you mention. If you and your family ever want an extra when you go to these places, please think of me.
Thanks, Danny.

Dreams of old friends
by back2dafront inever since leaving 4 years ago, at least twice a week i have dreams of old friends, and sometimes i wake up crying, laughing, etc., depending on what it was about.
the ones that bother me the most involve me walking down columbia heights seeing old bethelite friends, and they all look at me weird because i have dreds and earrings now, but they still talk to me.
but they have this look of disgust on their faces, like i'm not good enough for them anymore.

I don't have nightmares about exfriends as much any more. But, when I'm awake and I start to think about what jws said or did to me, it's worse than a nightmare. It's reality and I'm really glad that I'm not around them. Hopefully, your dreams will subside as time goes on.

dont forget
by rowdy ini think it would be truly sad to forget where you come from.
and push your thinking on certain people that dont agree with you.
i dont want to forget one of the reasons i left wt, was to think for myself and just because my thoughts are different than yours well you know the rest

Hi, Rowdy, I think you are absolutely right. It's hard to get over some bad habits, though. Has someone been forcing themselves on you?
When are we gonna get together?

Danny, like you, I have an affinity for the Indians in the AZ region, specifically the Apaches. Have you been to the Tonto National Forest? It's like going back in time to holy ground. If you ever go there, I would like to take the trip again. hint hint

Have You Ever Had To Tell Someone They STINK???
by minimus inwhen i was a young pioneer, reaching out for ministerial servant, i was asked by the elders to talk to a fellow pioneer (and m.s.
) about his hygiene.
quite frankly, he smelled.

Mrs. Shakita, we had that problem in the one of the khs I attended. I remember a brother giving a talk about how unloving it was for the sisters to overpower people with their perfume and that they needed to use less. Things got better after that.

When I was newly baptised, I hung around with a few sisters who had also been bible studies of the same pioneer who had brought me in. One was in her forties and always seemed to be energetically doing something. She was married and had three daughters, if I remember correctly. The woman did not wear deodorant and it was very, very evident. She didn't shave her armpits either. I couldn't hurt her feelings, but I did get up the courage to make her a gift of cologne and deodorant. I know she didn't use them, at least around me. I figured if her husband could stand it, who was I to tell her she had royal bo.

What was your message
by A Paduan in.
when going door to door were you delivering good news (without an if) like, "your landlord has given you the house"or were you selling 'love' like, "if you do as we do then you will be loved"or were you pretending to be normal but giving the underlying warning about the imaginary beast-god - who was perhaps going to get yourself.. paduan

I went through a metamorphosis over the years. At first it was horrible, I hated doing it. When I got into it, I did it to save lives and count time. At the end, it was horrible, I hated doing it.
