I've been to an officail JW site and the only topics discused are how Jehovah is great, loving, forgiving and any other positive thing you could think of. Nothing every makes you think or research the bible. Everyone has the same oppinion. ANd Bleep you said

A man explained the trinity this way (not using any science talk) My mother calls me Son, my wife calls me Husband, and my son calls me Dad. Isn't that just 3 different kinds of relationship with only 1 person. If a man can do it, don't you think it would be pretty damn easy for God to do?

The Trinity Is A False Doctrine!

Since God is true than the Trinity is true. For example, one man can be called son by his parents, husband by his wife and father by his kids. Is he not just one person defined by 3 names? He's not simply a son but a father and husband too. Same goes with God, He's the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Trinity is implied thoughout the whole bible. We learn God is Father Son and Holy Spirit, that's all the proof I need

The Trinity isn't simply called "The Trinity", it usually refered to as "the Mystery of the Trinity". It's composed of three parts, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Trinity is almost like a definition of Almighty God. God is the Creator but is also in Jesus. Does that mean He stops being the Creator? No he is his Son but Also the Creator. Therefore, He's the Father(Creator) and Son(Jesus); but He's also within all of us much like a spirit. Does that mean He's not The Father nor Son. By refering to God as Father , Son and Holy Spirit we except every thing He is, He doesn't stop being one thing to be another...He is everything. By placing a label on God we limite Him to that label. The Holy Trinity is simply a a way to acknoweldge God as omnipresent. He's not three diferent things, He's one.

I took these quotes from revdrjohnson's post. Since you created a post full of quotes taken from other sources I'm going to respond doing the same, Except mine will be directly from the bible the one that existed for hundreds of years before the JW's version came out.
The first point is that the bible itself proves that the organization is considered a false "prophet". Deut. 18:22,"If someone makes a false prophecy, and they have claimed to be a prophet of God, then they are false prophets and are not to be listened to". STRANGLY though the JW version of Deut. 18:22 is "If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him."Kind of convient for the organization seeing as it has made numerous false prophecies during it's history. Good way though to make room for mistakes that the organization makes.The WT wrote
"Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the condition of human perfection." This further more proves that the JW organization in deemed false. To continue replying to your quotes with mine. The bible states in Matthew 24:36 "No one knows about the day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor Son, but only the Father"
I know you might dissagree with many of the quotes posted, but it seems that the Christian King James Version bible I used for my quotes has almost the exact same wording as the New world Translations of the Holy Scriptures Bible the JWs use with an exemption to some passages which are completly different from all other bible versions.

how can they judge other religions if they aren't allowed to witness religous practises other than their own?
my friend is a jw, so to better understand her religion i participated in one of her religious gatherings...yet when i invited her to my church she wasn't allowed.

I was wondering today about how JW are not allowed to socialize with wordly people. WHy is this? My friend is a JW, so to better understand her religion I participated in one of her religious gatherings...yet when I invited her to my church she wasn't allowed. She isn't allowed to socialized with other non JWs but isn't that like me(Christian..United) saying I'm not allowed to go out with my friend because she's Jewish?? What kind of response would I get then?? I'd be socialy outcasted if I said I couldn't meet up with a person cuz they're Jewish or what not... BUT isn't that excatly what the JW are doing??? One final question...Then how do they justify that? Sorry this post is so confusing and scattered, once I get going I can't stop.

Thanks everyone. I feel a little guilty talking about her behind her back, but I guess I was a little frustrated. I had just asked her if she wanted to see a movie with our friends and she wasn;'t allowed again....she was going to the movies with her JW friends. At least I know now that there are other people that just want to be friends with a person...no matter what religion they are. Thanks everyone!!!

WE just wanna hang out with her!!
