Joel thanks for the explanation. I wish you the best whatever you do. I agree that we should not disrespect JW as a whole. Many loving people are part of the org. But there are people who are not loving a part of them. I see them as no different from any other religion. All religions have lies and deciet and never have the total truth. Well whatever happens, I hope you are happy...that is what life is about, a journey for happiness. Good luck....

Ummmm...well this is a big topic. I know people who have ended marriages because one of them was engaging in cybersex... Some people say cybersex is like interactive porn, but I think it is more, because it takes effort on both peoples part to participate. It also depends on if it is just cybersex or if there emotions involved. The more emotions involved, the more it is cheating...

i've always appreciated some good story telling and gangsta rap to counter my usual music tastes (indie and 60's music).

pretty funny guy, that eminem is.. i'm sick and tired of hearing things from uptight-short-sighted-narrow minded hypocritics.

I am not a fan of eminem. I think he probably has some talent, but anyone can talk to music. I am not a big fan of a lot of rap music in general though. I think he is a harsh person and he would get a lot more respect for me if he respected others and himself. The boy only has a 9th grade education....if he respected himself, he would at least get a high school diploma....

No one can tell you what to do, but you stated in your post how awful it made you feel when they were telling you what to do. That will only get worse if you become a JW. All the attention you get from them now, will fade and you will be just another face at the KH. Do not throw away your identity to be with someone, you are better by yourself. I understand your strong love for him, but if does not love you for who you are, then you deserve better. I am sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is the truth. It is not love unless he loves all of you. You will only be miserable and resent him and the religion if you join. I can tell that from your remarks in your post. Please think carefully and long before converting.

Are people getting Brainier?

an article in the daily express today cites a study that claims the average person is getting brainier.it claims,.

"the average child in britian today would have been hailed a genius 60 years ago".

do you think this is true?.

I do not think kids are necessarily smarter today. They are just put in school at a younger age and they are taught things sooner. There are more educational toys etc....
