JW & Child Molestation

i don't really understand this topic.

do you really believe the wtbs covers up child molestation?

i haven't read the specific accusations, but i seriously doubt that there would be a organizational "unstated" rule that child molestors are allowed.. are you sure this isn't a random event, that it is, it happened once or twice and the wtbs critics jump all over it, much like someone would demonize their enemy?.

I was only in the org for 6 years, and I meet 4 people in one city that had been molested by elders or members of the congregation that were still active and in good standing. One elder had been reproved and removed from his duties, but not disfellowhshipped. These girls and women had to live with this forever, and she these men that raped them at every meeting....How awful is that? Yes there is molestation in other religions, but JW are the only ones that maintain they are the only way, and yet all this hypocrisy. It is absolutely disgusting...

I do not even know if I am christian or not. A part of me really believes in the the things Jesus taught, but I am not for sure. I know I believe in a higher power. I do not see Christmas as a christian holiday, I see it as a tradition...

i was in bethel and started seeing huge holes in the borg.

i was also a non practicing homosexual (undeclared at the time).

Hey Britboy, I have been out for 5 years. I have done things that would require dfing, but it has never happened and I only live an hour away from my old cong. The chances are slim to none....

Wow, what a deep question...books that have impacted me. Well here are some of them...Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, She's Come Undone, Summer Sisters, and Tiger Eyes. I love to read, I have not been able to in a while, I hope to read some good books while I have a break from school....

i was a regular christian before a jehovah's witness person came knocking on my door.

i did not know what a jehovah's witness was when i met her.. she's a very nice person, and brings her 14 year old daughter everytime.

she says i should not watch tv, and should not listen to music, and should not play video games, because they will corrupt me, because they are what devil has created.. my friend told me that they are extremests and he is very worried about me being in contact with jehovah witness people (as you can see, i'm not too sure of how to address them either).

WT=watchtower and UN = united nations. The WT has said for many years that that UN is the beast talked about in revelations and that we should have no part of it, but they joined the UN as Non govermental organization. They just pulled their membership because it was exposed in england.

I think you should just tell her...Hey I am not comfortable studying with you anymore. I do not like you telling me the things I can and cannot do, I do not feel it is your place to judge me like that. Please do not call back on me...
