Thank you for posting your memorial experience. Or should I say memorial fiasco?

What occurred in your particular congregation is another part of the ever-piling-up proof, that there is no god, named jehovah or otherwise, that is leading that mixed up cult. Because if some god were leading it, he shows that he can't even make sure that so-called "new light", is emphasized on the most important occasion in his own organization.

The only people that Jesus actually ever condemned to death were the religious leaders. And those who follow them. No one else.

Interesting how witnesses and other religious people claim to know and follow the bible, but they never

I still have the wt publication" Your Will Be Done On Earth" book which was released at the 1958 International Convention.

As you know, that book is a chapter by chapter commentary on the bible book of Daniel.

Wt says in that book that god "may even use antimatter", to destroy people at armageddon.

I laugh when I remember such comments now. .

I agree with you. And all religions are cults anyway, and they more or less have the same effect on those who are involved in them.

The "religious" woman in the movie "The Mist" was an excellent example of the cultish, mind controlling, bull$hit, that religion puts on people. In that movie, she pronounced judgement on everyone else, but she is the one who was executed.

When I was an elder, and we had our elder's meeting to decide who would give the memorial talk (If we had no guest speaker),

my conscience would never allow me to volunteer to give the talk because deep down inside, I had questions about the whole 'Jesus sacrificed his life for our sins' thing.

Of course, since being out of the borg, I know why I felt that way.

Meaningless ritual.
