i've only had about ten cups of coffee in my entire life (i'm 30 now).
last night i didn't get to bed until 2:30 a.m. so i was dragging about an hour ago.

SYN - Actually I'm still on a high. Just got back from meeting a friend for lunch and I had water with my sandwich, since I seemed to have had enough caffeine for the day. All those suggestions to get hooked - I don't intend to and this was just to get myself going today. But I must say, it worked mighty heavily of which I'm grateful. I do pride myself on not drinking caffeine (eat it in chocolate a little too much though). I even buy diet/caffeine free sodas. So my not being used to caffeine is probably a big reason that this one cup has affected me so.

11:05 a.m. - I'm ready to go cut a forest down. Anybody needs some trees removed from their yards, or a house built, or a truck fixed, or anything like that? I really believe I have the energy to do something like this right now. God I hope this high does not wear off prior to 5:00 p.m.

I've only had about ten cups of coffee in my entire life (I'm 30 now). Last night I didn't get to bed until 2:30 a.m. So I was dragging about an hour ago. Therefore, I made my first cup of coffee being that the previous 10 cups in my life were store bought. Lord help me Jesus! I'm ready to walk to the moon. I've got to go to the bathroom, but I honestly don't think I will be able to sit still long enough.
This high has got to be better than sex. Those of you that are experienced in that field (you sinful people you), what do you think. Is a coffee high better than sex? I must admit, I'm on top of the world right now - I can't sit still.

My father was and elder who was selected as the building coordinator for the new KH in our local area about 2-3 years ago. He had been a contractor his whole life and offered himself willingly, although I don't think he realized the intensity of what he was getting into. Everybody complained about everything and few people would show up to help out (personally, I refused to show up where men walked around with clip boards while all the "underlings" did the work, maybe that's why few showed up). Anyway, my father ended up having to quit his contracting job to make the KH build his full priority, being that no one was really helping out. He lost thousands of dollars, which meant that he and my mother took a fairly hard hit financially.
Anyway, the old KH had been bought by a company that wanted the land and paid somewhere around $250,000 to $300,000 in addition to gifting land for the new site. In the end, the local KH sent the leftover money of about $100,000 to the society as a gift. They never offered my father a dime for the six months that he sweated it out and lived in near poverty just to complete this project. I'm sorry, but what is wrong with this picture? Normally I don't feel sorry for my Father, but I did in this case. Although I think he needed to have this happen to wake him up a bit as to how little the organization really takes care of its own.
Six months later, he was deleted as an elder because my sister and her fiance went down behind the barn to test things out before saying "I do."
Any thoughts on this subject?

DID ANYONE EVER ENJOY GOING IN SERVICE?
by minimus ini was raised with a bookbag in my hand.
every saturday and sunday our family was out in service.i vacation, temporary and auxillary and regular pioneered.
i never enjoyed it but did it because i was supposed to do it.
