  Yahoo Clubs - What do you make of this?

  okay, hopefully this won't start a big riot (like the last time)...here's the deal, my cousin (now, please keep in mind, she is not a witness) had a dinner party at her house last sunday.

  she invited 10 of her closest friends, with one catch, every person invited had to bring one person w/them.

  the person could be male or female and they had to be someone who my cousin (the host) did not know.

  Funerals

  i haven't been to a "worldly" funeral...well ever that i can remember.

  all the funerals i have been to have been jw ones where they use it as another opportunity to preach to everyone in sight.

  they usually make a token mention of the dead loved one and then begin with the resurrection and earthly paradise and how you have to be a jw to get there.. today i went to my aunts funeral.

They usually make a token mention of the dead loved one and then begin with the resurrection and earthly paradise and how you have to be a JW to get there.

  Today I went to my aunts funeral. It was beautiful! The priest or whatever he was made a few comments on her life and how she would be missed and then her son got up and gave a talk about his mother...some funny experiences...some heartwarming times...things that brought back memories we all had of the time we spent with her. And I thought to myself "This is what it should be about!" And they ended it with her favorite song by Patsy Cline "Crazy"....

  lol it also prompted me to remember to change my will and make sure I DO NOT HAVE A JW FUNERAL!

  Why I love driving in Dallas traffic

  you know, driving in this city is much like an obstacle course.

  almost everybody drives fast.

  but, of course, we have our bad drivers: mr. cell phone who drifts into my lane at 50 miles an hour when i'm doing 70 and doesn't even see me, women who are slapping on makeup and checking their face in the mirror while screaming and cursing drivers try to get around her, and then the dude that has to risk the lives of everybody in his surroundings so he can cut one car ahead in the next lane and narrowly misses causing a pile-up involving 10 cars.

  What I Like About Most Of You Here & The 3 ...

  a british compliment ... your'e all soooo preposterously predantic!!.

  one thing that always made me question jw thinking so much as a kid, were those 3 dots in quotes taken from professionals in the magazines.

  that space i always knew was a misrepresentation of facts and it interested me highly that to verify such comments was always most difficult in that position.. that lil space i reckon was one of the reasons for my very first initial doubts at around 14. i would always go further in reading than most, past the scripture given in the body of the public talk to check out whether that was in fact what the scriptures were saying compared to the brothers comments.. hooray and cheers for a questioning mind.
