neonmadman posted an intriguing question in his thread "the baby and the bath water" concerning the paths that we took when we left the society in order to get to where we are now.
unfortunately, much of that thread was highjacked into something irrelevant to the topic, but i wanted to respond and posted part of an answer on the thread.
i wrote this some time ago and sent it to a sister who was sticking her neck out trying to get me to come back in.
You have a great style of posting LoneWolf. I have seen several of your posts and have been impressed at how balanced, reasonable and atriculate you are...it has been very enjoyable reading!
lol hope you don't mind the positive affirmation
could everyone just give me the figure for the number of years they have been out?
what is our total in years of combined experience here?.
me 7 years.
2 years
it seams to me that through out history men have allways commited the worst crimes against humanity.. from despot rulers to serial killers and petty crime , men do the most.. yet to me it seams that on a personnal level men get on better with each other than women.. women are often very senseitive and take offence much more easily.. they can be very bitchy and manipulative.. often men will have an aurgument with a friend and the next day all will be forgotten , while a women can take years to forgive.. so what is it about mens psychology that makes them commit worse crimes than women?.
or it there just the fact that they are physicaly stronger?.
i wonder that if in the future , women are in positions of power more that they will act worse than men have, or if they will show more compassion for others?
Having babies irresponsibly without a father
hhhmmm last time I looked it took two to make a baby...now where are those men that "helped"...oh PRISON most likely. So not only are they irresponsible but violent lawbreakers.
Xena who can sterotype with the best of them...
The taking of offence rests in the heart of the stupid one"Tat...recognized this??? Typical blameshifting response...I said something stupid but now I am going to try and make it appear that you are the stupid one...
Now back to the original subject...
I think typically most women value life more BECAUSE they give birth. lol 36 hours of labor and you will look at life a whole lot differently. Of course there are exceptions to every rule! Men tend to be more aggressive possibly due to messages sent in society that "real men" are this way. Women seem to be pressured by society to look a certain way and men to act a certain way...maybe this contributes to the difference.
I think SixofNine made a good point about power too! Men traditionally have been in positions of power and had more opportunites to abuse it...lol much as I would like to think women would do a better and more compassionate job..who really knows for sure???
whaaaa?
i wrote a letter to the society months ago asking for a subscription.

Found this point interesting on the Niagra Falls section:
You said that the erosion of the river gourge has taken place over the past 12,000 years. This would not tie in with the Bibles account of a global delugelol not sure just how that scripture supports their dating of the flood...it EVIDENTLY took place???...it is funny too how they put out an article and then come back and say they are not sure how "accurate" the info is? They don't even site a specific geologist...at least they don't note one here. Great reporting, huh?R.P. Britain
"Awake!" responds: We simply presented the current estimates given by geologists, with no comment as to how accurate they might be. Such estimates absolutely do not take into considerations the Bible's account of the Noachian Flood, which evidently took place less than 3,000 years ago. - Mathew 24:37.
do you remember the excitement of a brand new box of crayola crayons?
running your fingers over the perfectly sharp tips, none broken or peeled.
all 96 colors like flesh (now peach), indian red (now chestnut), periwinkle, goldenrod, green blue (now retired),lemon yellow (now retired), and new colors you may not know about such as macaroni and cheese, purple mountain's majesty, granny smith apple, and pig pink.
Abstract Art!!! Love it closer!
lol I have to admit I still LOVE to color...uuummm nothing like a new box of crayons and a fresh coloring book!!!!!
...before we see this happen in the usa, i fear:.
norway minister marries gay partner.
oslo, norway (ap) - finance minister per-kristian foss has married his gay companion, becoming the first member of a norwegian government to enter a binding homosexual partnership.

this is a link to a list of openly homosexual politicians in the US...now I don't know their relationship status...but if they are openly gay I would assume they are living with a memeber of the same sex...or at least did at one time.
