Shropshire Star news editor examines issues behind death of JW Emma Gough
by AndersonsInfo inshropshire starapril 9, 2008. why would loving faith allow death?.
features news editor neil thomas examines the issues behind the tragic death of new mum emma gough.. words written by heaven knows who and attributed to moses have brought about the apparently needless death of a young shropshire mother, and blighted many other lives, more than 3,000 years later.. far-fetched, possibly.
yet, how else are we to interpret the death of emma gough?.

We are fiction(s).
by Narkissos inthis is the truth.
hidden in plain sight.. know thyself.. we were made in the image of god after all.. not only fiction, but also fiction.
biology and fiction.. not basically a "bad" thing to repent from.

Need a guys opinion and ladies feel free to chime in!
by TweetieBird ini have a "friend" and i say that loosely because i don't think that she is a good friend.
she only calls me when my husband is in town to do stuff with her, i.e.
go to lunch, etc.

First of all the one thing this woman wants is to get between you and your hubby and if you fight with him over this she is succeeding. Sounds like he might be a little flattered by the attention (be honest you would be flattered as well if the shoe was on the other foot) but not interested. Why exactly are ya'll friends with her? What do you have in common? Personally I would be proactive and already have plans made next time she calls...slowly wean her out of your life with no fuss, no muss. lol @ the American woman comments. Trust me bitches come in all flavors sister. ;-)

I agree with Burger Time. You can't take away people's choices just because you don't like or agree with them. That said when you make a choice like this you ought not sue the doctors for following thru on it. I find it interesting that they are sueing the doctors and the WT lawyers are involved. They generally don't like this type of publicity and only use the lawyers when blood transfusions are being pushed on a minor or something like that. Usually when someone dies from a blood transfusion they use it to highlight their faith in an Awake article and be done with it.

Anonymously disclosing location
by Mickey mouse ini had an idea last night and thought i would see how others feel about it.. i would just love to know if there are members of jwd in my area.
unfortunately like so many others i cannot give too much away as i am still "in" for family reasons.
i was thinking, would it work if we created some of those maps where you can pin your location but do it anonymously (i.e not using our jwd i.d as a reference)?

I think generally most people who attend fests and/or don't mind people knowing where they live have the area in their profile. You might take note of that when posting to see if anyone is from your area. Other than that there was a map I believe ballistic posted with JWD id's and where they live.

Could I have broken into your house?
by Outaservice insome time ago, i asked this question on the old h2o, but many of you are new.
i'm curious.
how many of you, when you were jw's had the security code '1914' in your home system?

Funny thing, my daughter was about 6 when we left the dubs. I found out recently she uses 1914 as part of one of her passwords. She didn't know why she used it, it just popped into her head. I guess when you hear something over and over and over for the first 6 years of your life, eh?
