when i spoke by phone recently with the author of that presentation, and pointed out that i had never expressed the views presented, his comment was that from his previous conversation with me (held some months earlier) he "got the impression that i was not on the same wave length" with him.

Perhaps the problem lies in the fact that we sometimes want to think that all people in leadership should be perfect, and then get frustrated or upset when they are not. When in reality we should be upset with ourselves for letting anyone hold the leadership position in our minds again.

With all due respect, there is a huge amount of room between perfection and slandering the character of another.

I'm not going to be upset with myself for expecting a leader, who wants the support of the public, to find a place somewhere in between those two extremes. If they can't or won't do that on a consistent basis- in my book they don't qualify as a leader.

Similarly, to say that because one does not choose to align himself with a certain movement (whether Silent Lambs or any other anti-Watch Tower movement) he thereby can be labeled an apologist for the skewed Watch Tower policies is unjust and hence unchristian.

my son's b/f and his mom stopped by tonite and his mom and i got to talking about religion and all the rules we got so sick of.

she is pentecost, and admits that they have to many dumb rules too, just as jw's do.

she is a faithful church goer, twice on sunday, she sings in choir.

These musicians, especially those without a major-label contract, can reach millions of new listeners with a downloadable song, enticing music fans to buy a CD or come to a concert of an artist they would have otherwise missed.

This is so very true. I have spent money on cds by artists I would never have heard if it weren't for downloading and internet sharing. And I've shared music with others they had never heard before and they spent money on it. And on and on it goes.

Great article! Nice to hear this from a recording artist!!
