  Discussion With My Dad...Ended Badly.

  some of you may know that my parents were expected for "dinner" on thanksgiving day.

  well i really don't think its going to happen now.

  i called my dad last night becuase my mother, now visiting my kids in south texas and bringing them here to see me, said they had "stuff to do on thursday".

  I'm sorry that you are dealing with this disappointment. And I think you handled it just fine. I doubt that, put on the spot, disappointment thrown in and several issues at once to combat, that anyone would have handled it any differently. It's not like you were able to take the time to prepare for it. You were being told that the family get together that you were looking forward to wasn't going to happen and -by the way- it's all your fault that it's not happening and here's about 6 reasons why. Talk about being thrown on the defense out of nowhere.

  I'm glad to hear that you have the opportunity to spend some time with your girls for the holiday. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  Yep, I'm right there with ya. I also have a box of stuff from each of her school years- I'm sure it will be condensed down later on in life but there was so much I wanted to save. I still have the playhouse and many other toys she had when she was younger too.

  And, just about a month ago, my own mother gave me a dress and a pair of little shoes that I wore as a baby!!!!

  2 boxes for 5 kids???? WOW- you are doing good!!!!!!!!

  my short journey out and now reunited with friends!

  in the beginning, my father was a pioneer in the province of quebec and in south western ontario and i always asked why these places and he said it was because the need was great in these regions, im sure it still is!

  my mother was in toronto pioneering and was sent here from germany to spread the word and was on her way back when she met dad the super pioneer.
