Yeshua said.
"When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same...then you will enter the Kingdom of God."
--the gospel of thomas
Your friend missed the point of the special services that were held for others.

Is holy spirit really involved with appointments?
by Leander ini've always been curious about the process they use to appoint someone as a minsterial servant, elder or pioneer.
do they claim these appointments are made by holy spirit?
i am aware that the elder body has to first approve it and then send it through bethel or the circuit overseer, but i'm not sure what happens next.

The Holy Writings warn us against being pleasers of men. Your friends felt the need to move to another community. The Holy writings also inform us that men of the church should be humble. One must question your friends motives if they feel they deserved to be appointed.

Leander:
The men of reason use the guidelines that the Holy Saints have given us in the Words. These words were written with guidance from the Holy Ghost. In this way it can be said that appointments in the local community are written with the aid of the Holy Ghost.

God is Jesus
by evangelist ini am looking for more scriptures that can prove to a jehovah witness that god is jesus, and jesus is god.i found only one verse so far in 1jo:5:20: and we know that the son of god is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son jesus christ.
this is the true god, and eternal life.. if you know more scriptures that say directly that god is jesus please tell me the verses the jhw will see plainly that jesus is no way an angel, and he is jehovah god almighty.. my friend said if i can prove by the bible only that jesus is god he will leave the jhw society, and he will know that they are teaching lies and they would be to him a dogma religious sect.
my friend gave me a booklet called should you believe in the trinity?, and is jesus christ the almighty god.

happy witnesses?
by Realist ini attended sunday meetings at least half a dozen times.
what i noticed is that the witnesses seem to be very happy people.
is that true or just a fassade?

Realist;
Servants of the Most Holy One are not immune to unhappiness. Many servants have faced difficult situations, some being suicidal, some
being asked to be removed from their assignmnet. You can find ones who were like this by opeining to the Holy Book of The Saint and the Holy writings of the Ancient prophets. Modern day servants are no different. -

Reasons why we hate JW's (as an org)
by ashitaka inmy first reason is the fact that i was being controlled through the jw social structure, and having to fight to do anything....even whether to wear a tie or not.
the preoccupation with appearance was so debilitating; that was all i was ever concerned with.
and, as i'm not attractive, good in sports, or a conformist, i had very few friends.

Valis:
I suggest you research other views of the Holy Title Elohim. For those that claim to have an open mind, I am beginning to question your ability to exchange views without attacks. One viewpoint is this.'ELOHIM was, at one time, prior to the formation of Yis_ra'EL, the MOST HIGH GOD of Canaan / Kh_na'an . The supremacy of 'ELOHIM was cherished and maintained by the people of the Levant and later with Abraham , the ancient "patriarch" of the 'Ivriy / Hebrews, cherished and maintained by the standard employed within the term or embodiment surrounding the now mythical Melchizedek , which, seemingly appearing to take on a seperate life of its own ascending to these mythical purportions, was even legendary in the time of Abraham. This legendary tradition of Melchizedek is very ancient, its original meaning virtually lost until this time. As for "Abraham", the name, in its variations, was a relatively common name in the ancient period in question, common especially among the clans of the ancient caravan routes of the Levant and Mesopotamia. Melchizedek, Mal_khiy-tzehthehq , mentioned in Genesis 14, was a titular designation meaning roughly "my righteous, or my just king", etc., referring to someone, a priest-king, perhaps, or an individual whose name has been lost to time and history, for whatever reasons might be in order. Another understanding, according to THWORAH 'ELOHIM (which you will come to learn), equally valid, is that of the term, mal_'akkh, an "angel", messenger, herald, prophet, or priest of honorable and correct righteousness under spiritual justification and the proper reflection before the ETERNAL, 'ELOHIM , both feasible and nurturing interrelation. Mal_'ahkh, the foundation stone of the name or term, Mal_khiy-tzehthehq , rises from the following root verbal terms: mahlai' to be full, to become full; to overflow, to be filled, to be complete; to make full, to fill; to be filled, to become full, to be satisfied, to be completed; to make full, to fill in or up [as in a set or domain, of categories or regions or bases]; to be filled in [as if to complete or evolve], to be set [of gems]; to make one another full, to assist each other [to love one another]; mahlai', filling up; full, filled, abundant; strong, pregnant; substantive fulness, abundance, adverb fully; m_lo' fulness, what fills up; multitude; m_lai'ah, fulness, abundance; tithes of grain and wine; millu'ah, a filling in, setting [of gems, as in the Aaronic breastplate of the twelve regions; and finally millu'iym, installation [of priest], consecration; setting [of stones]. Certainty will remain elusive without the employment of THWORAH 'ELOHIM , as given to the world through H'al_mahshiyach . Aside from the importance of the concept, of who Mal_khiy-tzehthehq was, all that will be known without the METHOD of THWORAH 'ELOHIM is that it signified the highest calling one could aspire to in becoming the high priest or standard-bearer of the MOST HIGH GOD , 'EL , who, fully capable and proficient, could then serve to unlock the secrets and ancient verities that were carried in this language and culture. Through such a person, or through the standard contained within this title, Mal_khiy-tzehthehq, the sacred was introduced and preserved.
Your statement of calling me a troll is viewed as an attack on my character. This appears to be a common trait among many who post here. It appears to be some sort of defense as a final answer. It is indeed sad. I will no longer respond to your post. I ask that you do the same with mine.
