  the day started innocently enough.

  i had to rush through my morning workout so that mr. scully could go to work.

  when i returned from the gym, i picked up my daughters and headed out to do some errands, since the stores had been closed yesterday for good friday, and would also be closed tomorrow, easter sunday.. .

  i grew up in the society and had the pleasure .

  some worldly people would actually hit jw'w because they did not salute the flag.

  (this in a country that prides itself on freedom of religion).

  Thunder. Tough situation, all around.

  Good advice from Scully and ash, re the child support. Very important, but don't be surprised if you are at the bottom of a very long list. My sister, has just terminated a relationship, and when it came time to divy up the proceeds, from the sale of the house, this guy had a list of creditors, as long as your arm, plus child and family support agencies from previous relationships.

  Re the friction between you and Sheila. I hear you on that one. I tend to be be the " tough guy " with our 13 year daughter, ( as I was with our oldest daughter, now 23 ) and it causes grief, between both her and myself and her mother CJ and myself. CJ takes a "kindler, gentler "aproach, though sometimes I tend to be the calmer one. Kinda like " Good Cop, Bad Cop ". But it is tough, especially when it causes bad feelings between you and the missus. Hang in there. Keep tough, but try not to push them away.

  i have to say that at one time i wouldn't even consider reading material at a discussion group like this one.

  but in the last two years, discussion groups like this one have been indispensable to my dealing with a very personal crisis of faith, and i want to thank the brave and loving persons who sponsor sites like this, and the brave and loving persons who participate in them.

  like many here, i was raised as one of jehovah's witnesses and never questioned the validity of the wbts view.

  Burial or Cremation?

  i got the idea for this thread from one jessika posted and which contained a response from dede.. which form of final resting place do you prefer and why?

  personally, i want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered at a particular place on the beach on deserted st. catherine's island, a barrier island on the georgia coast.

  my children could get there by boat (the only way) and visit my spirit there - even though i know my spirit won't be there, i believe that somehow i will know they're there and what they're saying.. being buried in a box six feet under to lie in the same position througout all eternity doesn't appeal to me in the least.

  If the post Francois is referring to is the one where Jessika wnet to a grave site to pay her respects. that post touched a nerve with me as well.

  I have always considered burial when I was a lad, have changed my mind to cremation, now that I am older, and to have my ashes spinkled at the top of my favourite hiking trail on the north of Lake Superior.
