Coming clean about what's been going on lately, I need to talk......
by Jez inwell, my sil and best friend came to this site on my recommendation (jw).
i just wanted her to check it out without judgement as we have always been able to talk about everything.
she basically was disgusted, said it was full of crap and lies and would never look at it again.

Has any wife hosted a party and her husband got all the credit?
by codeblue in.
how did that make you feel?
could you believe how "invisible you were made to feel" after you did most of the work, and received no recognition or appreciation?

Amazing Race ( I love Boston Rob and AmBA) also enjoy the older couple meredith and Gretchen.
LOL at AmBa. Yes I have a lot of respect for Meredith and Gretchen. I don't think I could keep up with them. Their kids and grand kids must be really proud of them. My favourite were Lynn and Alex the "boyfriends". They actaully had a few spots of bad luck, but they never really argued with each other. And their terms of endearment for each other just kept me in stitches.

I miss Dragnet, that used to be my favorite show ever. Jack Webb was the man
On the Canadian version of TVLand it comes on in the evenings followed by can you believe it........Adam 12. Last episode of Dragnet I watched they were working with the Social Services dept, tracking down a case of computer fraud. Computer fraud, lol, you should have seen this "new" computer, with the punch cards and flashing lights, and a dasiy wheel printer the size of a fridge.
Sunspot:
What a hoot last week when he had the plane's departure time and was telling others there was another one!
Yeah that was a backfire. Took a little smugness out of him I sure, arrogant brat.
As long as we are talking about OLD shows,
Rockford Files for sure. I used to love when they would start an episode with a potential customer, just flipping open the yellow pages and putting their finger on the Rockford name, and he inevitably asking towards the end, "just how did you find me" and the client saying "Oh I just picked your name out of the book," much to Jimbo's chagrin. LOL And that Angel, what a louse.
Trivia Question. Does anyone remember "Angel" Martins real first name??

LOL at Minimus. Yeah Match Game. I watched that a lot when I was a kid, and I'm still amazed when I watch the reruns, at the amount of innuendo that went on. And the clothes back then, hilarious.

I will wait till August when the DVD comes out then just waste a Weekend watching it all.Thats what i did with the last 2 Series.
That's how I got hooked on 24. I got up early one Saturday morning and was just flipping through the channels, and the Mystery Network was playing a 24 Marathon from season 1 and apparently it started at 9:00 or so the previous night.
I actually sat there for 12 hours straight except for intermissions. CJ and I were totally addicted. I agree it's hard to watch just 1 episode at a time. Glad to see it's getting the recognition it deserves.
Other shows:
Anything with CSI or Law and Order in it, though I don't mind if I miss an episode of Trial by Jury. I have a problem with Lillith.
Love the Discovery and History channels. Good to watch as a family.
Glad to see House mentioned. There was a thread here a few weeks ago about it, which made me curious so I caught my first episode a few weeks ago. I just love dry sarcastic humour. It's kinda like watching Scrubs meets CSI
Reality Shows. #1 is The Amazing Race, followed by Survivor and American Idol. Watching Amazing Race is like a brief travelogue. Some really amazing architecture and history on that show, though it's a whirlwind tour. I had panned American Idol last year, but that was when it was the last few episodes and I got annoyed on that they were stretching it out. This year we stated from the start and it's a bit more palatable. And I can't stand the thought of watching the Apprentice. I just want to grab a pair of clippers and do something with that "Swifter" head.
And I don't think anyone mentioned Evergreen . I think it is in it's 3rd season, and we watch it with our teenage daughter.
And I hate to admit it, but I do watch Young and Restless with CJ. Gotta love the big boobies on that show. Which reminds me what night does Desperate Housewives come on?
Oh and the Trailer Park Boys is so offensive it's hillarious.
I think I'm going to join a Discussion Board for TV addicts. I think some of you should join me.

They have launched an action in Ontario Superior Court to challenge the B.C. ruling.
How can an Ontario court tell a B.C. court what to do. They have no jurisdiction?

in about fifty-two minutes time...
by zaphod in...my gran, who has been a jw since the 1950's will be reproved publicly for speaking to her grand-daughter who is disfellowshipped.
she is 77 years old and i am worried that it will be the death of her.
the"truth" has been her life for nearly fifty years and she is still a regular publisher.. if she continues to commit this gross sin she will be disfellowshipped.. her daughter and son in law are to be disfellowshipped for the terrible sin of allowing their daughter to live under their roof since she left her husband.

I think Mouthy summed it up well:
Guilt -in my opinion is the most destructive force in the world.
