one of the latest announcement letters from the wts is that people should attend special.

classes setup for the purpose of preaching to foreign language communities.

I find it HILARIOUS that this "counting" of time and the GRAND TOTAL is somehow connected to one's salvation and a determining factor in this person's afterlife!!! (or living forever - not to be confused with imortality - which they don't believe in anyway !! ) Are they really expecting these totals to somehow appear in this make believe book of life?

I just find it sad.

Since the conception of the Bible Students and then JWs, it appears that the rules are continiously being relaxed to try and rekindle the "joy" that Jws are supposed to exhibit.

Unfortunately the "men who rule" just don't get it. to be a JW is to have the proverbial millstone around one's neck.

Saw my JW parents yesterday. Dad not doing well. Neither am I!

this place has helped me to "face" my parents.

they are 87. my dad has been diabetic for 40 years and has lost the lower portion of both legs.

I looked after my grandfather, after grandma passed on. He too had diabetes, and had lost one lower leg, and gangerine was setting in the left foot. He just lost the will to live, and refused to let them amputate the other foot. And then yes his kidneys began to fail.

Both were dyed in the wool JWs, but I sensed towards the end, a frustration in both of them, that the desired promise of the new order had become no more than a pipe dream. This angered me, and was another few drops in the bucket to cause me to exit jwism.

It is the end of a journey, and though you may feel they squandered their life within the confines of the WTS, you should not let that feeling overshadow your relationship with them. They "created" you, they love you, and you them. And we love you. That is all that matters.

i've been here on maui for about 7 months now, to start life over after my ordeal on the mainland with the dubbies.

and for the most part it's been good...... until last month when my employer announced bankruptcy.

so i am out of work for now, but and i am starting my own business again.

Does the Governing Body Have Any Real Friends They Can Trust Now?

i would think with all that the governing body is faced with that they must feel some form of isolation even at bethel.

they must worry all the time that soon thier little world will come crashing down especially with the brutal exposer the internet is providing.

i'm also sure that they wonder who will be the next to turn states evidence against them in some legal case they face now or in the furure.. with all the very clear information on the internet exposeing the governing body thate soon some higher up will get deprogramed that have been privy to some very damaging information perhaps from the accounting or the legal department that could send thier asses to jail.

You betcha baby? I was an unbaptized, semi-regular publisher, and I got Dfd for practicing the horizontal. Of course it wasn't an official DFing, but I was not allowed any contact with JWs or family until my "reinstatement" Gotta do what you can to keep the congregation clean from "shaggers"

I see that the recent direct warnings by the WTBTS to STAY AWAY FROM THE INTERNET is having the predicted effect.
About the same as a policeman standing alongside DO NOT CROSS tape hollering, "MOVE ALONG PEOPLE, NOTHING TO SEE HERE!"

Is the Society sending literature in the mail again?

i have not read an 'awake' magazine for a couple years, but i have the feb 8, 2005 issue in front of me.

in looking at the advertizement for the young people ask book, on the back cover, i see something that seems different from years past.

there is a coupon like they used to use in which you can put your name, address, ect.

Without obligation, right.

WTS will have a good dub in the cong. either mail the book using their own postage of course, and said dub will be so happy because they get to count a placement without actually having to knock on some one's door. Of course dub will have to contribute for the book themselves, if they decide not to hand deliver. WTS has got a pretty racket going there.

Re-Introducing Myself / Hello All !!!

this is presented as a means of re-introducing myself to the community.

as time takes its toll and as new ones come in at almost a daily rate, it can be a little difficult for some to know, or get to know you.

as a hope of allowing one of our new members to be better acquainted with me, i presented this as a pm, however, after giving it an overveiw while looking to see if it was read, and it was not, i decided to put it before the entire community, that maybe this pm should be regarded as not so private.
