Indeed, a careful exposition on all of the relevant scriptures shows that the real requirement is that anyone who kills an animal for food was required to pour out the blood as a sign of respect for the life-giver God. -- AlanFGood point, really. Yes, the reason for God's requirement that the blood be poured out on the ground is because *life* had been taken (ended), and so to do as God commanded showed that the life-taker had a proper respect for *life* and the Giver of life. But when blood is taken from a donor such person's *life* is not taken (ended). Even so, I doubt that I would ever submit to a blood transfusion; to me, it's not very appealing to think of someone else's blood circulating inside my body.

Yes. I heard this your view of "Armageddon" last year at the first time at a CO-talk in our congo.Are you sure that you heard the view that I’ve presented? I rather doubt that, as to my knowledge the WTS has yet to grasp this particular scenario. I would really like for you to answer this question. It would be great news to me if you were to be right, but I seriously have my doubts about what you say being true. Surely you are confused somehow.
Why should God first bring a collapse on the governments, and THEN subsequently a "resurrection" for a short while ?No one said that it was God that would cause the collapse. The worldwide collapse of governments will be brought about as the result of the great tribulation mentioned in the 21st verse of Matthew 24, as a consequence of the fulfillment of events mentioned in the 7th verse. Satan is the one that instigates the unprecedented warfare between nations mentioned in verse 7, not God. Therefore, Satan, not God, is the source of that “great tribulation”. Satan, out of desperation due to having been cast out of heaven at that time and knowing that his time is short, will cause the strife of verse 7 in hopes of thwarting God’s purpose of a Kingdom in the hands of Jesus and his co-rulers. It appears that in order to succeed against God Satan’s intention will be to prevent the last ones of the 144,000 from being chosen. In order to do that it will be necessary to eliminate the entire human race. Hence the necessity for God’s having to intervene by cutting short the tribulation, as mentioned at verse 22.

[Armageddon] is a real situation; the climax of a certain process, called "great tribulation".I'm afraid you're a bit off base here, Erich. Armageddon is an entirely separate event than the “tribulation” of Matthew 24:21 that you refer to. You're quite mistaken in thinking that such "great tribulation" will culminate in Armageddon. Actually, the "climax" of the great tribulation will be the collapse of all earth's governments, which of course has nothing to do with Armageddon. The fulfillment of Matthew 24:7 is what produces the great tribulation which leads to such collapse (death-stroke of 7th head of wild beast). Thus, whereas the great tribulation is the consequence of 'nation rising against nation', to contrast with that, Armageddon is God waging war against all nations. Rather than the great tribulation itself leading to the removal of man’s governments (Armageddon), it leads instead to a collapse and then revival of those governments. Once revived, a global government will be devised and will reign for a short while prior to Armageddon. Before Armageddon takes place this global government will have proclaimed “peace and security” as finally having been achieved throughout the earth. No, Armageddon is certainly not the "climax" of the great tribulation.

Where on (jw) earth did you come up with the idea that staying overnight with known homosexuals is a disfellowshipping offense?No JW would stay overnight in the home of a known homosexual. To accept such hospitality is to accept their lifestyle, which the Bible condemns. For a JW to unrepentantly condone the homosexual lifestyle in such a way definitely IS a disfellowshipping offense, even as would be the case if a JW were to condone theft or murder. Really, that wasn’t a very brilliant question that you asked.

To make a very long story short, she was disfellowshipped. The final reason the elders gave her was that she kept denying anything had happened.... Here is the part I don't understand. She was staying in the home of two "known homosexuals", so who in the world did they think she was sinning with?She was "sinning", Kevin, by virtue of the fact that she accepted the hospitality of people who were "known homosexuals", a practice believed by JWs as being condemned in the Bible. By willingly having stayed/slept under the same roof of "known homosexuals" she indicated that she approved of what the Bible itself condemned. And furthermore, in denying that ANYTHING had happened she even argued that she had done NOTHING wrong, although she had in fact done something very wrong.

i am thinking about starting to take some courses, working toward my degree.
i would appreciate some feedback.. on the one hand, i have made a successful career for myself as a highly paid computer professional, working for a variety of prominent companies here in the usa over the last 12 years.
this, in spite of not going to college for reasons that you all understand.. to date, the only companies that cared that i did not have a degree, once i had a few years experience, were companies that worked with universities and higher education products.
