i know this will never happen....but if the wtbs were to discontinue the practice of shunning, do you think their would be a mass exodus of those currently in the borg.

additionally, do you think some folks would still shun folks depiste it no longer being required by the borg?\.

there would still be shunning,my wifes friend wouldnt call because she said she was afraid i would answer the phone,no judicial action had been taken at that time,that would come 16months later,so yea there would still be shunning,remember "choose your associates wisely" would still give them an excuse to shun.

600 people up and left the DC after the 'apostate' talk?

an 'apostate' inactive jw in america i know on facebook went to the dc and said fully 600 people left between the end of the apostate talk and the lunch break.

have any of you who also went to the dc seen something like this happen?

Tech49 on HOURS, TIME, and REPORTS

i thought i would share some of my observations on counting field service time, reports, etc.

and how those reports are viewed, to those that are still so fixated on numbers.. i served as secretary on the service committee for many years, and have seen it all!.

i was really disheartened when wt changed the requirement for aux pioneering to allow for 30 hrs, instead of the 50 it has been for so long.

i agree completly i was a secretary for ten yrs our placements were always higher than the number we actually received,and always phantom hours of people who never went in fs

i dont drink and drive i drank 2 beers on the golf course,2 more times that year i exhibited behavior that appeared to be drunknes,couldnt walk right talk right,was taken to er by ambulance i was having ministrokes,the cop wouldnt take me to er at the time of the incident,despite the pleadings of my wife he said i was just drunk.

i was raised in the "truth" had been baptized 24 yrs was a ms for 8 yrs was an elder 10 yrs,was arrested for dui in 2010 which i plead to to get rid of it,17 months later i was df onthe grounds of a one time occurance with notoriety the problem was they met with me 6 months earlier to talk about the dui being on public record,at this meeting i asked if anyone was talking about it,they said no,but amazingly 6 months after that meeting i had notoriety,there was no notoriety till they got hold of it,you can do the math and see that they created the notoriety.was 84 pubs in congregation one elder said 6 people knew,one elder said 8 people knew,one said he didnt know how many,the last one said oh two thirds of the cong know,notoriety was created to df me.
