  a long-held teaching of the wts is that god allowed time after the fall of adam and eve to demonstrate to all creation the rightness of his rule.

  this is again repeated in a current issue of the watchtower:

  why did god not immediately destroy the first human couple along with satan, the invisible instigator of their rebellion?

  This is one of the JW doctrines that has always bothered me. If the God they worship has to prove a point, he's a pretty weak god. God doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. Had he destroyed all of creation and started over, who would have known? No, God didn't destroy creation because he LOVES US. Come on ya JW dolts, God loves us, that's why we're still around.

  what happens if the u.n. searchs iraq and they find nothing?

  i mean it's kind of scary to think what will happen to bush's job approval rating if that happens.

  One last question, why did Israel take over the West Bank and the Gaza in 1967 for? Was it a big land grab on their part or did it have anything to do with the unrelenting attacks on Israel by Arab terrorists using these areas as bases?

  Again, read all the histories. I grant you the BBC's 500,000 figure, I conceded that point. BUT it was speaking of Palestine in 1900. In 1900 Palestine consisted of present day Israel with the territories, Jordan, Lebenon, and a large hunk of Syria. Ya can't read backwards into history.

  Again, if Palestine could gaurantee the Borders of Israel there would now be peace. The Palestinians are either unable (I suspect) or unwilling (I highly suspect) to garauntee Israel's security.

  Whether or not people are more depressed at this time a year is indeed debatable. If they ARE more depressed then they have more resources available in order to be able to trudge through it. As it stands, the suicide rate is higher in spring than during the Holiday season.

  what jesus looked like doesn't really matter to me... in a faith that is moved by his teachings and not his looks, however it doesn't stop to amaze me why organized religion has gone out of its way to make us think he was gorgeous.

  the following scriptures plainly states that he was'nt even just "average" looking but maybe even deformed.maybe it is important what he looked like....important enough to put in the bible and important enough for man to twist it...no twist isn't the word...lie!

  Would You, Could You, Marry Your Wife Again?

  a couple of years back, 2 friends of ours decided that they would like to have their marriage vows renewed in our local church.

  the main reason behind this was that they had married abroad some years back, and they thought that a sort of "second wedding" would be a nice thing for the mums and dads who had missed out on the original.

  it was fine, very enjoyable.. hmm, i got to thinking, her ladyship and i did not marry in church, but settled for a registry office bash because of parental jw pressure, and also, because i had been married before it was, back then, very difficult to obtain a church wedding if one had been divorced.
