  Why didn't Sadam........?

  going back to the pre-war rhetoric it seemed to me that even the german and russian intelligence along with the english and american intelligence and previous inspectors all agreed that sadam had left over (and possibly made more) chemical wmd.

  proof seemed to be provided about what they *knew* he had at *some point* and it couldn't be accounted for.. it seems obvious now that sadam did, in fact, destroy it long ago.. my question - why didn't he just prove it to the inspectors?

  why not avoid all of this if he could?

  Who are the Israelis occupying? Your comparisons are NOT accurate, they don't hold water. Afghanistan was a soviergn country, the french, as well, even America declared itself a country. The Palestinians have NEVER been a Nation, the Gaza and West Bank are still technically UN mandate territory which the UN has failed to administer.

  As to it being a peaceful demonstration, the Israelis insist the shots were meant as a warning (that went off target) and that the Israeli soldiers believed there were gunmen in the crowd (which has happened before). The Palis insist there were no gunmen in the crowd...so who knows what the truth is. I'm sorry these people died, I'm glad the Israelis apologized.

  Realist, What do I base my opinion that the Israelis are more noble? I never said they were more noble. However, I can point to differences between Israel and the terrorists they battle, Israel apologized for the tank firing into the crowd. What I like about Israel, it's military is not now frozen while the Knesset conducts multiple inquiries. Israel should be more careful, it claims it was accidental, that it was firing above the NON-PEACEFUL in my estimation, demonstration and one went into the crowd.

  Hans Blix is the idiot that said North Korea didn't have a Nuke program...he's the idiot that couldn't find uranium (non weapons grade) that Saddam had, but that the US did find, he's the idiot that couldn't decide if Saddam was or was not cooperating...Hans had a vested interest in dragging out the inspections (a pay check).

  He was proving it to the inspectors (Blix) that's why they were hastily yanked out and not allowed to complete their work so that the pretence for the war wouldn't disappear.

  Actually Simon, he was NOT proving it. The inspectors were not "hastily yanked out" that's just the hype you choose to believe not based on any facts.

  Hard to tell who to believe in a case like this. Were I to guess I'd say there is truth in both reports, that there was a wedding party where people were killed, and there was a "safe house" being used where people were killed...and that they were close to each other. SAT COM radios aren't something the average Iraqi will have.

  Who pays for the 36 kids of unmarried polygamists? We do. The legality of the parents relationship is irrelevant.

  When Polygamy is made legal, MANY mormons, and not just a few Jack Mormons will start pumping out more kids due to more wives, the numbers will go up.
