You act as if Ray Franz was inspired by God, you follower of men. He could be playing you like a fool, and you wouldn't even notice because he was there. lol.

i posted this same topic earlier but it didn't go through so i have to do it again.. i didn't think my ten questions would cause a person(youknow) to be attacked because his opinions was different from the majority.. alanf.
i don't know you personally and i don't know what you have gone through in your life, but i can say from what i have seen in here you have a lot of angry, hate, and other issues inside you that needs to be dealt with.
you oblivious have some sort of history with this man.
She is old and dying and her religion tells her she cannot associate with her own son.
The religion does not say that. If you read the Watchtower articles carefully regarding this issue, it says that she cannot have a spiritual association with you. As in talk about spiritual issues. If she does not speak to you then it is her choice.
Danni: Why would a mother decide not to talk to her own son? Well let's look at it from her standpoint. She has faith in Jehovah and the way he does things. The Bible tells us to beware of those trying to destroy our faith, for this could mean our own death in the end. So if she believed that her son is trying to destroy her faith, thus killing her physically, she could choose to avoid him like a plague. In the world, many put restraining orders on family members for fear of bodily harm, so too spiritually this could happen. Many here call this a game, well it's not a game. Our choices today will have an effect on how Jehovah judges us in the end.

Really. Then call the Society (718-560-5000) and ask to speak with the author of, say, the Creation book, or of any particular Watchtower or Awake! article you like. Report back here what they tell you.
Oh Alan you're going in circles boy! You claim "Various researchers for the book found out a lot about the history of the Society, from their own records"
I ask for you to prove your "inside" informant and now you tell me to call them on other books? I thought we were talking about the Proclaimers book?
Oh? If I could set it up, would you be willing to speak with one of them over the phone? If so, email me your telephone number. Why don't you ask him to email me his name and telephone number. Feel free to use the email on my profile.
i started this new thread as you requested.
we were discussing the various dates of armageddon, predicted by the wt.......ill start with your quote:.
the brothers were not predicting, but trying to understand bible chronology and prophesy.
Regarding 1975, I know some COs did predict that it would happen, but the Society said that it could and it could not. I understand that was misleading, because they should have ended all the rumors and just said "Let's leave things on Jehovahs hands".
how many "true blue" witnesses do you think would actually read these scriptures, and then come up with a different conclusion then what they read in the watchtower? none of course! this reasoning, again, is ridiculous. You obviously already have a low viewpoint of the Witnesses. I would say 75% of Witnesses do read the scriptures to prove that the reasoning is accurate. I know I do.
then why the enforcing of "rules"?They are enforcing the rules written in the Bible, like the elders of the 1st century christian congregation.
why disfellowship anyone for anything? [quote]Taking blood is not a conscience matter. It is a clear violation of Jehovahs law.Oh, Witnesses are not disfellowshipped over anything. They are disfellowshipped over breaking Jehovahs laws and not repenting.
[quote]perhaps one witness has read the scriptures on taking blood, and through their research and reasoning, has decided the wt is wrong about the blood issue, and therefore takes the transfusion willingly. what did this witness do wrong?

AlanF:
The Society refuses to give out the names of anyone in or connected with the Writing Department. Should I be different? This is so funny. Obviously you are lying.
Just suppose you could talk to some of the researchers for the book, and they confirmed what I told you. Would you believe them? And if you did, what would you do next?I would ask about their research in detail.
the question.

Lionel: I was not surprised that the there are researcher. Of course there are. In fact all articles are researched, then put together by a member of the Writing Dept., then proofread by about 40 different brothers.
AlanF claims to have some sort of inside information that I am challenging.
the society used to state regularly that a creative day (cd) is exactly 7000 years long.
actually, that teaching has never been revoked although recent literature - since about 1988 - always says that a cd is "thousands of years" long.. two questions:.
(i) is any jw here willing to find out if the wts still believes that a cd is exactly 7000 years long or not?
The Society has not retracted it's 7000 teaching explicitly so my question is a legitimate one and you avoided it. I didn't ask how long a CD is, I asked whether the Society still teaches that it is 7000 years long. Your quotes are not inconsistent with it being 7000 years long.
I guess they do not still teach that it is 7000 years long. So what?
in 1970 if you had undogmatically proclaimed that a CD was an unknown number of thousands of years long, how would you have been treated? As an apostate? You try to make it sound like you will be disfellowshipped for one single thing that you don't totally agree with the FDS. This is very misleading. You might be disfellowshipped for being stubborn and insistent on your own belief, without proper respect for those taking the lead. You can still have your own ideas and be in good standing in the congregation if you are humble and wait for the changes through the proper channels.

And I'm supposed to believe what you say because you are the great AlanF?
Various researchersWhat researcher? Who gave you this inside information?

They admit such mistakes in the Proclaimers book.
here is another unequivocal example of a claim of direct inspiration: in the olin moyle court case of 1943, fred franz said under oath that no man is the editor of the watchtower.
who, then, is the editor?
who became the editor?
Now this is getting interesting.
Say it isn't so, Alan. You couldn't have stooped so low to try to shut YK up.
