  i am watching what i think is the dumbest movie ever put on film,the quick and the dead.

  sharon stone (who i think looks great with no panties) absolutely sucked in this stupid movie.

  whats with the plot of this yawner,its been done a bit too much.she was terrible and gene hackman must have needed the money when he signed on to do this groaner..just my opinion and we all know what they about opinions...they are just like assholes, we all have them and they all stink...

  Hi, I grew up in sulphur and lake charles, la and in fact am moving to ragley louisiana in a week from now... I'm currently in denver, but since my dad doesn't associate with witnesses anymore, its time to get to know him again.

  in the context of this forum, happiness at its core is generally defined in one of two ways: a) being a witness or, b) not being a witness.

  most of us consider ourselves happier since leaving the organization.

  because of a recent discussion between violetanai and marilyn, i've thought about it some more, only to reaffirm the truth i already discovered some time ago.

  Hi, this is a really great post, and I find myself obligated to answer. As a witness, I did not leave because of the things I could not do. It truly didnot bother me having restrictions because it was all I knew, however I left because I came to believe it was not the only true religion as they claim and I couldn't stand to be so bigoted. Has the freedom to smoke, drink, cuss made me happier? No. Freerer. Yes, less stressed? Yes. However, when I started pursuing a career and better and bigger things when I left the org, my happiness vanished. I find the simple life, where you get enjoyment from the little things, thats what really makes me happy. I know it sounds so cliche. But I believe it so much that in two weeks, I'm moving out of my 700 dollar apartment in denver to live in a camp with no phone or tv in the swamps of louisiana. I think your mom has that key, she has found the way to her happiness in pride in her labor, feeling good about her life, family, and in her way, god. Your friend has a lot of money, but how excited does he get about the little joys of life anymore? Does he feel the satisfaction of a sparkling kitchen or a home cooked meal with friends? It sounds like he lost more than he gained. All that worry, when you have more, you have more to lose. I know this sounds preachy, I really don't mean it to be, I guess I have to validate my own decisions as well in this... forgive my rambling, and my over used cliches, I'm to tired to think up anything more original. peace to you.

  how old were you when you lost your virginity and was it all that you thought it would be?????.

  i was 19, and my first time was a complete let down.

  i envisioned that gothic romance motif, all about romance and love, i didn't know what i was doing, didn't know sex was like that.

  Well, my story IS JW related actually. When the elders found out that I was seeing a worldly guy, they said I had to leave him, I told them I had no place else to go (he was letting me stay at his friends house) because my mom had kicked me out for seeing him, they said we'll thats not our problem, so I was SO angry, I drove to his house and demanded sex right then, so there would't be any more conflict and they could disfellowship me right then! Unfortunately, even though I was NOT repentant, they just reproved me. Oh, I was 24 and It wasn't very good, because the whole time I was thinking, so there and there and there, take that! Not very romantic, just angry. :(

  Memorial Experiences from Hell

  memorial.....the time of year where we meditate on the supposed significance of jesus' death and watch all types of crazy mufuckas come out of the woodwork.

  anyway, we had a new sister move into our territory and lo and behold claims she's of the anointed.

  she was all of 40 years old, 350 pounds, friendly, feels that the friends should treat her with special reverence "since she's one of christ's brothers" (wouldn't that be sisters?).

  Hey guys,
  My heart froze when I read this post, I thought it was about my mom. By the way who is not black, but is all of 350 pounds, and loves to wear neon, big hats, green eyeshadow and fake daisys on her shoes. Not to mention the nasty red wig she wears, any way, she claims to be of the annointed and always manages to make a scene every year. I still don't know, this might actually be her....

  My mom partook, and she was questioned after and disfellowshipped a month later for "staring at the elders on stage" and "not singing" so, yes, if you are in a volatile congregation, if they don't agree with you, then who knows what happens? Her disfellowshipping was recinded (taken off the books like it never happened) later, and she partakes at another hall and no one says a thing there, so I think it depends on the elders at your hall.

  Does anyone really care

  does anyone really care what active witnesses think of them?

  i ask, because on many of the ex-witness boards i see a lot of mention of what people think others say behind their back.

  personally, i hope the witnesses think i am the devil himself and fear me upon sight of me.

  It just seem like words are enough to express the pain that disfellowshipping and reproving someone causes. I fell in love with a dear sweet man and was ostracized and shunned because I didn't want to give up the relationship. No we were not sleeping together. My so called "priveleges" were taken away and I was treated like a disease. My new love offered to take me out of my very abusive "witness" household, I was told to give up the supportive relationship and return to the house of my mother who was extremely abusive. Well, I choose the wrong path according to them and now I have lost my whole family any friend I ever had or support. But I truthfully say now, its the best thing that ever happened to me. I am out of that black hole of misery, never to return.
