Tell me about the weirdos in your congro.
by karter inwe had a guy who used to bang on about natural remedies.. at the doors and meetings he would tell everyone what was wrong with them and what to take to remedy it he even told the brothers of for sell coke at the assemblies.. however there was know remedy for his mental health apart from that he was a fat little porker who looked like you could grow spuds on his teeth and washing wasnt big on his agenda last i heard he joined scientology.. we had 4 sisters in the congro pregnant one nut case confessed to the elders he was father to all of them.. one sister used to attack the po's wife in the kh then stand up through the meeting and abuse at the speaker after that they would call the sike team it wasnt uncommon for her to go door to door at midnight.. last i heard she became a counsellor..

Unfortunately my mom was the biggest weirdo in the congregation. She was very intimidating and could roll over anyone with her knowledge of the bible. After she was disfellowshipped for apostasy because she started partaking, things got really weird. She made all of us attend every meeting and sit in the front row, where she would hiss or loudly disagree with everything the elders she didn't like would see. She wouldn't allow us to bow our heads to the prayer or sing any of the songs.
Once when were asked to leave due to her disruptiveness, she spit on one of the head elders. They said they'd call the cops on us if we came back. Weird story. anyway, her disfellowshipping was recinded but things didn't get better. We ended up leaving and I am infamous in this area for all her crazy antics.

Maybe the witnesses would be more successful if they just starting threating to pound people into the ground if they don't take the literature.

funny what can happen if they think you are an elder...true sex story
by oompa ini started to put this in the great thread here on weirdos in your hall which i have so enjoyed, but there was a bit more story to it.
there a pitiful little hunchback young man of about 25 that was soooooo introverted it was really sad.
so he calls my house to speak to my elder dad, and i answer the phone.....unfortunately, at 15, i sounded a lot like my dad, and as soon as i said "hello" he blurts out...."brother oompa, i just wanted you to know i have gotten rid of all my pornography, and am going to really try to work in harmony with my prayers to stop masturbating.

Memorial: Partaking of the Emblems
by tula inif you partake of the wine and you are not "approved" status..... are you supposed to be cursed?
would you be "reproved"?
would they ignore you or call a jc?.

Oh I forgot one thing. My mom completely quit reading the literature after she starting partaking because she said she received it through the holy spirit ahead of time anyway. Do most annointed claim to have the channel like the Governing Body?

My mom starting partaking when I was 16, no one believed she was annointed including us (the family). She was too headstrong, too in your face to the elders about everything. She was certainly crazy, but they really didn't know that because she saved most of that for home. First my dad had minsterial servant taken away from him for not "controlling his family" and when that didn't work she was actually disfellowshipped for apostasy, when in fact she was acting wacko (long story) but in no way was she acting apostate. Her and I actually drove to Bethel from Louisiana and she demanded a meeting with someone there. They did meet with us actually and called a seperate congregation in to have an appeal. The other congregation judged the disfellowshipping as unfair and get this, they had to announce it this way "Blah, Blah Blah's disfellowshipping has been recinded" you must treat it as it never happened. Didn't really work because during the time she was disfellowshipped she did some truly bizarre things and everyone was afraid of the whole family so we were still shunned either way. Thats a topic for a whole 'nother post. :)
