this is my story if you care to read...thank you.....all make my long story short.

ive always been a beer drinking pot smoking fool...w/occasional trip or 10.. .

I"ve never heard of this "prodigal son" in this context. You can't be baptized twice to my understanding. I remember a talk at a District Convention saying some wanted to get rebaptized after disfellowshipping and it was not to be done..... I dont' know.

i went to a spanish congregation and there were different hispanic nationalities and one in particular used to snub, criticize and make fun of the other one.

very unchristian and so the opposite of what they preached.

It was weird, in my congregation there was voluntary segregation. There was the Black congregation and the white one, and everyone thought you were weird if you went to the wrong one. Of course down here in Louisiana there still is blatant racism, we still live in a different era here. Sickening.

I've been on since 2002, fresh out of the witnesses. Anyone remember Priscus and traumahound (always a controversy there). In 2002 there was a ton of fighting, flirting and it was just as addicting as ever.

how i know i have entered the south... if i order "sweet tea" and the wait-staff does not point at the sugar and sweet-n-low on the table.. that's a high 90% indication i am in the "south".. florida may not always be the south... the paradox that comes from being as far east as it is south.

even ocala and winter haven are overun with michigan and new yorkers now days.. oklahoma is ok... some parts or southern... others , western buy so far i dont find many "yankees" around here.. parts of michigan may be in the south... during ww2 much of the south went up and stayed.

in some places you find grits easier than german sausage.

I moved back to Louisiana after a long absence and was suprised when every resturant I go to here, when I order tea, they ask " sweet or unsweet". Huh? I'm used to sweetening my own tea. But the sweetned tea is delicious, but very very sweet.

New BOE Letter

all boe have just got a letter telling them to encourage all parents to be more on guard with their children.

suggestions such as not letting your young children go to the toilet on their own, not working with older men on their own and not leaving children in the car on rv's and calls un attended.

the letter basically instructed the elders to remind all family heads that its their responsibility to protect their children whilst at and away from the hall etc.

Smoking = Disfellowshiping is it justified?? Do you do it now?

isn't smoking just as bad as "defiling the body our temple" with alcohol or drugs legal or illegal?

if i have glucoma will i be disfellowshiped if i smoke pot, since it is a doctor perscribed treatment?

those who smoke how do you justify ruining your health and finances?.

I only smoke cloves when I'm drinking (can anyone say goth clubs?) but after working at National Jewish Medical and Research Center (number one respitory hospital in US) and seeing what smoking does to people, I avoid it like the plague.
