Haha...this is our favorite guilty pleasure show! I am torn between rooting for Walter White and just really hoping he gets caught! When I found out he was the one who poisoned that kid...and how mean he's always been to Jessie and he killed Mike....I just really don't like him now. But when he said he would quit the business, I kind of started to like him again. Everyone deserves 2nd chances!

How long did you keep rooting for Walter White?
by slimboyfat inisn't this guy like the greatest anti-hero of all time?.
as the series wears on it is getting more and more difficult to sympathise with the guy.
but i must admit i stuck with him pretty far.

Well... I got my 'invite'
by Jim_TX inas most know, it's that time of the year when the jws go out 'in force' and bang on doors trying to leave their litter-ature for the memorial - aka 'memorial invite'.. this morning (saturday), i was at the local coffee shop - which is normal for me.
my wife was at home chilling on the sofa, in her nightie.. i got a text message around 9:30-ish saying that jws had been at our house.. when i got home, my wife said she was sitting on the sofa when she heard a light 'tap tap' on the door.
we have a doorbell.

I got a light tap tap on the door also. As I don't have a peephole on my door, I figured it was a murderer since they didn't use my doorbell. I opened the door cautiously and saw a middle aged guy and he gave me my invitation. I just said thanks and he smiled and left, didn't offer any other info! It was kind of weird, actually!

would have been far more but i've been declined quite a few times for various reasons such as having a cold, dental work and trips abroad.
they check for hiv, hepatitis b & c as well as some other diseases each time i give here in the uk.

How Many on JWNet are still JWs?
by RayPublisher ini've been wondering about this for some time.
if there are 60,000+ registered users on here, what percentage are actual non-dfed or non-daed witnesses?
if it was 1/3, that would be over 20,000 active/inactive witnesses that post and read these pages- and that's huge.

Not df'd or da'd, just not a JW anymore either. Will dodge the judicial committee forever to avoid those labels!! Elders scare me, they always have!

New magazine cover from the religion that calls former believers "mentally diseased"....
by cedars inapparently "prejudice" applies only to racial equality and has nothing to do with diverse sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
it's news to me, but that's the only way i can explain this latest cover from the society.. http://download.jw.org/files/media_magazines/86/wp_e_20130601.pdf.
cedars.

Long Overdue Observation
by earthfire ini just thought this was funny when it popped into my head this morning.
funny because i should have thought of it long ago and i'm sure that i'm not the first to think this.
the big point comes after my little spiel.. so, god tells noah to build an ark because he has a lot of killing of the wicked to do and only noah and his family seem to be good enough.

But I've heard that a lot of different cultures/religions have a similar flood story.....

Also, JW propose to be the "ark" when, actually, Jesus is. I think the point is that God provides way of escape or a savior. And we have to remember that his ways are not our ways and we only can see a little bit of the puzzle and he is looking at the finished product and everything fits together perfectly. That's why Satan is so crafty and uses confusion. Yes, faith is important! Personally, I stubbornly hold on to my faith, regardless of what I am told!

I believe the flood story...but more than that, I get the message of it. Even if some of the stories aren't literally true, you can still get the actual "moral" of the story, which is more important, probably.
