Outa = My dear man and friend, I am truly sorry to hear what you have recently been through. It's very good to hear that you haven't had problems with the chemo tho - and we sincerely hope you continue to overcome and improve health-wise. (((Love to you))) Larc & Zazu

Where have I been?
by Outaservice infor those of you who know me, i want to let you know what has been happening lately.. on july 8th, i went in for emergency colon cancer surgery.
the tumor was removed but some malignancy was found in a few lymph nodes so chemo was recommended.
i had my first of 12 treatments last week and appear to be doing okay without any side effects.. your prayers and best wishes are appreciated very much.

Mulan has a new grandson!
by Princess inmy brother's wife gave birth this afternoon to a 5lb 7oz baby boy.
he was five weeks early (we knew he would be a preemie) and both mom and baby are well.

Perhaps Penton's forthcoming book will answer some of these questions, as it will pertain to Hitler and the JW's (Bible Students).

I feel good
by DanTheMan inafter a couple of days away from the board and doing some hard thinking and contemplation about my life, and reading (though i'm not done yet and the conclusion may turn out to be a letdown) a fabulously insightful book called the courage to be, a funny thing has happened...i feel as sane, calm, and alive as i've felt in years, maybe ever.
maybe this is a manic episode or something.
probably not because i'm not really doing anything productive nor am i making any grandiose plans.

Dan, Carl (larc) has often told me what a fine young man you are, said you just needed to turn things around a bit. I think you have done it!!! Hang on to that thought, please. You are on the right track.

Interesting piece of history Just2, thanks for relating it to us. Amazing, also very interesting about the $5,000 insurance settlement. I had a great aunt who knew Libby Custer, she apparently lived in NYC, in a hotel suite; and didn't die until the late 1930's. My great aunt was a hairdresser, living in NYC, and frequently did Mrs. Custer's hair. She said Libby Custer was only 15-16 when she married Custer...thus explaining how she could have easily been still living in the 1920s-30's.

The Publications Look Like Crap
by Nosferatu innot sure when they switched from hard cover books to cheap cardboard cover.
the publications don't have the same, fancy, expensive look that the previous hard cover ones did.
i used to marvel over the nice hard cover books, and the colors of them.

Scully & Walter - right-on comments - their 'truth' changes so frequently - best to have pubs that don't last long. Nos - congratulations - and hope you can get those pics up - will look for them.
