Jang,
For years I carried a copy of the above in my wallet. Read it often. Eventually it fell apart, so it was a nice memory to read it once again, thanks.
BugEyesWife, thank you also for sharing your special poem; I enjoyed it :)

i've heard the borg alot.
one of the recent posts had the matrix.
some the firm.. i think that i like the matrix, so far.. what's yours?.
Usually, I just refer to them as the WTBTS, Tower, or org...have used the term 'Borg,' once or twice in this forum. But, I really LOL reading some of your other tags, TY!
However, my private name for the Governing Body is: Geriatric Boogeymen, because most are old poops, and they surely create the 'nightmares' attributed to 'boogeymen.'
Welcome Lilacs - nice to have you join the group. Won't you tell us a little more about yourself? There is a thread: "Hello, Hello for 'newbies' I'll see if I can find it and bring it up to 'most active.'

has anyone had chance to read james kostelniuk's "wolves among sheep"?
i read about him a while back on kent's site, and how his children & ex-wife were killed by a psycho witness (isn't that redundant?
lol).
Hi Reagan,
I tried to locate this book in the States, locally and through Amazon and B&N - no luck. It was published by Harper Collins, Ltd. (Canada) - and I did find it on their site.
Harper's 'direct links' you to two Canadian bookstores where it is available: Indigo and Chapters. However, the hardcover price is $32 plus S&H. I found out that it is due out in paperback this coming August...price
$9.99...so I will order it then.
Glad you posted this :) I just marked it on my calendar, so I won't forget to place my order.
is anyone here employed either as a public relations rep. or at a large corporation with a vibrant pr dept.?.
in an effort to properly publicize the upcoming do-not-call service, we are in need of a multimedia mailing list.
i know from past experience that something like bacon's or burrelle's lists are pretty much the cream of the crop.

Grrrrr - this is another issue I will be informing my state politicos about!
They are the people who would eventually be able to enact legislation, and influence each state's Supreme Court to reform the 'freedom of religion' statutes to eliminate loopholes that protect religions from 'exposing' such vile persons in the various churches/religions.
Sorry, I couldn't post a direct link to the thread - maybe someone can do this??
the second step is the real target.
on the first step.
i give a little, you give a little.. a second explanation of the ditf that has been given is called, "perceptual contrast.
Hello JanG,
Well, I'm not quite sure what to say to you re this 'issue.' I do want to thank you for your many, many years of devoted effort to assist and emotionally support those leaving the organization. You, were, indeed, one of the forerunners in these efforts to aid, educate and ease the pain(s) of those leaving.
Before the 'web' days I know you spent
copious amounts of time gathering and compiling materials; and mailing out packets (sometimes very thick ones) all over the world...wherever there was a need or interest. My private 'nic' for you was "Grovey." I was always delighted to get a mailing from you. And, hey, the thicker the package the better.
Things have changed much with the 'net -- the best part being that so many more people are being informed re the WTBTS, their pathetic history, flip-flops re 'beliefs' and, I think, even more importantly, their cruel, tragic handling of situations such as shunning and coverups re child abuse in its many forms.
Forums such as this are a meaningful 'gift' allowing an outlet for so many to expess themselves re a wide range of experiences and emotions. People need not feel so 'alone' - as many of us did so many years ago.
However, I think when so many are now 'grouped' together it produces a vast array of 'styles.' Some, I guess, more popular than others. And, also, some posters are, by nature, just more prolific than others - I think that has always been your 'style.' :)...whether it was with snail mail, or the net. So, I agree with 'Waiting' - if I don't feel like scrolling through a very long thread, I don't. I appreciate your wanting to share some excellent material - maybe just spread it
out a little more?
Thanking you for your continued efforts to help. Hope you are feeling much better soon...Zazu

Great Jeff,
It's good to give reinforcement to the officials that must deal with such issues.
Once you are there - look at Left Side Bar, click 'Opinion' - when that comes up - scroll down at center column for "Letters to Editor" and click and scroll down to your letter.
Thanks for letting us know.
i, along with many others here, saw on the wt official website, in the faqs section, their answer to the question "do jw's shun former memebers?"..
we've posted many comments on their response on various threads, such as on qwerty's topic "wt-faq on shunning--" just yesterday.. this morning i went to that site to copy it, and it seems to be gone....unless i'm not awake yet.. is it gone or did i somehow miss it?.
also....i did a 'search' on their official site, on the word "shunning" ... result was "no results" so i changed it to "disfellowshipping" and the article on "child custody" came back as the only reference.
HadEnough - please try this:
This is the WTTBS "Public Relations" site. When you get there, at top 'bar' click 'beliefs' - then 'FAQ' and scroll down to "Do you shun former members?"
Thanks for your e-mail - will be getting back with you soon. Zazu :)
