This reminds me of my first visit (age 16). I was having some problems so my desparate dub mom took me. Well, the gynecologist prescribed birth control pills for me. No sooner were we in the parking lot that my mother tossed them in the trash, saying, "you're not taking those, it will give you an excuse to have sex". So I remained in agony until I moved out of the house. How sad.

Sister Dub's first visit to the gynecologist
by butalbee inat work last week, i was sitting in the break room doing some of my paperwork, there was a couple worldly girls sitting at a table--penny and lisa, then walked in sister tammie, and sat beside them.
i rolled my eyes as i normally do, for sister tammy is the dub of all dubs, always at the hall, always leaving awake rags all over the place, always looking for converts..... okay, i'm there trying to act inconspicuous, for sister tammie is a sister in law to my ex-dumb dub boyfriend, and well, i'm pretty much now satanic in nature to all in that particular congreg.
for what extremes i had to go to, to get him out of my life...but me easedropping on their conversation, at times is amusingly worth it.. "so, how did the doctor's appt.

by Dutchie ini'm in the process of making plans for my yearly vacation and although i am not really afraid to fly, i must admit to being a little .

As you may have noticed, most crashes involve private aircraft. The chance of an incident on a commercial plane are next to none. Besides, as a flight incident survivor, if I could get back to my job and fly almost every week, anyone can. Mind you I was a basket case for several months.
Plus - does anyone remember D.B.Cooper (1969)? Though no one knows if he survived diving out the back of a commercial jet.

DID YOU EVER RAT ON SOMEBODY???
by minimus inthe congregation was always being told to root out any person who was engaged in wrongdoing.
if it was a best friend or even a family member, you were to inform the elders so that they could look into the matter and investigate any possible sin.
the elders pretty much told the brothers that those knowing of a sin and not reporting it were as guilty as the person that actually sinned!

Never!!! Though I had been ratted on plenty of times. One sister even stole my diary out of my room when I was 15, read it and told the elders that it displayed a bad attitude. I got busted, but notice how the sister never got in trouble for stealing. That's because she was serving the borg's best interests.

Blood Part 04 - Organ transplants: cannibalism
by JanH inorgan transplants: cannibalism!.
as with blood, the wts originally had no objections to organ transplants.
in a questions from readers section in the watchtower, aug. 1, 1961, page 480, the question about organ transplants is answered pointedly:.

I was so excited when I saw you had posted part 04! All the information you have been posting is really, really good. And to think I used to argue the blood issue incessantly. How foolish!

I really need your advice on this!
by sunshineToo inif your boyfriend refuses to go to college, what do you do?.
for his job, he really needs a college degree.
but he said that there is something about "being at school".

My husband had the big college fear as well. Partly because of severe dyslexia, partly because of fear of going to an American college. It took a long time before he got over those fears and he started going to Junior college last year. I guess what I'm saying is that it takes time. I leaped into college immediately after leaving the borg, but just because I did it that way doesn't mean everyone else can. I had to learn a lot of patience in this matter.

From 1989 to 1994 - Five years. I worked so hard at it too, conducted several studies, brought people in the truth. And it was all a scam.

what did god do before he did anything?
by sleepy ini remmember the idea that god has been around forever, to be a bit confusing as a witness.. does this really make sense?.
heres two reason why it doesn't.. 1.what was the first thing god did?.
so either it wasn't the first thing , if there is not a first thing god did see point 2,or god had a begining.

The problem is that we think too much in terms of time. And we think of God too much as just a more powerful version of ourselves. It doesn't work that way. It's beyond our human comprehension.

Just go and grieve in your own way. I've gone to funerals since I've been shunned and I've just had the mindset that no one else is in the room and I'm going to honor this person's life as well as mourn their passing. I've sat and cried and thought about them and ignored those who would shun me as well as the talk and just thought about them. Being able to bring closure and grieve someone's passing is very important and I wouldn't deny myself it.

They're having layoffs yet they're expanding construction all at the same time. Sounds like a big corporation to me....
