Ex-JW to speak at Atheist meeting

i wanted to post this event that will take place in mountain view, ca (just south of san francisco).
ex-jws will be interested.. former jw diane wilson, author of "awakening of a jehovah's witness: escape from the watchtower society" will address the next meeting of atheists of silicon valley (asv), wednesday, september 22, 7:30 pm.

No more "Governing Body"?
by Butterflygal inin the april edition of ex-jw peter barnes newletter, "out of darkness", i found the following statement: "in recent years, the society has dropped the term "governing body", but in practice it is still operating.
" i was shocked to read this.
i had not heard anything about it.

Ex-JW will give Radio Interview on Jan.17
by Butterflygal ini just noticed on ex-jw diane wilson's website at www.dianewilson.net that she will be giving a radio interview on january 17 at 2 pm cst with kfnw (christian talk radio) about her book, awakening of a jehovah's witness: escape from the watchtower society.
it can be heard on 97.9 fm and also on 1200 am on the radio dial.
the broadcast will be from fargo, north dakota, but the interview can be heard all over the world through the radio station's internet as a webcast at http://www.kfnw.org.
