Thanks Gopher for your reply, it was a nice picture to. To clarify what you asked: The study conductoe had a problem with the girl and her family as she deemed them not strong enough in the truth and that would have a bad influence on her son. They were all white. it was a separate incident with a man that had to do with the race. To me it was a classical case of the pecking order. But it made me sure think. Thanks

To marry? or Not to marry?

Would you forget it ALL if you could?
by Perfection Seeker inif you could "bump your head" and forget all the crap that came with being a witness, would you?
but, in some way, i think i have grown from the experience & have learned from it, and it has made me be a better personl, less judgemental, more tolerant, more open.
but, if there was a magic pill to erase it- hmm......hell yes i'd do it!

I agree with you on this, I myself only found this site a number of weeks ago, and what others were saying through their own experiences, helped me to realise that it was not just myself over imagining things. I still even now have guilt trips over certain matters. Unfortunately there is no quick fix pill. I still use the morals set in the scriptures, but when it comes to the case of you should not do this and that, I go off my conscience as to wrong and right. A normal day to day one. Do not carry guilt around with you, and feel no guilt and shame for anyman, as this will eat you up bit by bit, and the next thing you know you will be suffering from depression as I went through because of this. It put me on a hospital ward. And my children suffered. You will usually find out that is was the same people who made things un-bearable for you, that are in the mire now.
Thanks

Just a little experience I came across when I used to attend the Hall. I was studying with a popular sister within the congregation. We were studying the Book of Revelation together.
She was noted as one who was outstanding in the congregation, and all the sisters looked up to her. This went on for months, and we got to know each other quite well. Her son was a aux Pioneer, and he himself was very popular. Nice looking to. All the girls in the cong. were always hoping that it would be them that he would ask out.I admired this lady and thought she was a rock (or pillar as they say). UNTIL; her son chose to date a girl that the mother disapproved of. She struggled to put in more hours to please everyone, so she would have a better favour shown towards her, obviously she did this not for herself, but to be approved by others and accepted. One day I was having the study, and you should have seen the hatred towards this poor girl who had done nothing except to be involved with her son, and the woman did not think she was good enough in the hall to warrant having her son. The woman whom I had admired, suddenly I saw the other side of. She was so bitter, red in the face with hatred, and called her and her family fit to burn.I thought this cannot be right. I then stopped the study with her as she was having an effect on myself. There were many other instances of this nature I witnessed, like one day going to the hall, I was walking with a brother, who suddenly came out with the statement, why did you marry a black-man, were there not any white men you could have gone with, Obviously I was shocked by this.I told one of the elders, and he just said never mind him, he is just weak.
I have seen so many happenings of this nature, is there anyone with similar stories I would like to hear them Thanks.
