I also think it's about money. They probably did the calculation to see how much it costs to house, feed, laundry, medical etc. these people versus the money they save printing their own stuff instead of contracting out, and found out they were operating at a loss all along! Donations for the world wide work must also be down for them to do this.

1000 leaving Bethel - Why?

well, a change occurred at the end of april much like what happened in china.the conservatives used silentlambs as an excuse to squash the liberals and any chance of reform in the organization.why do you think they are asking for 1,000 to leave bethel?
it is the liberals, they are being kicked out wholesale and by doing so the last chance for the organization to save itself.the battle is over, jaracz won.. i had heard about the 1000 people leaving bethel but it was spoken of as "downsizing".

They're obviously cult-like expressions which are used to indoctrinate and intimidate people into submission. These expressions put emphasis on the Governing Body (GB) and the WTS, and words such as "Jehovah's Organization" don't really refer to God but to the WTS/GB. The word organization does not even appear in the Bible. I guess these terms were conceived and introduced into the religion during the Rutherford and Knorr eras.

Truly Bill Bowen is a remarkable man. I don't beleive any one JW has received as much attention in the media as he has. He knows how to use his PR skills quite well. I'm just sad it ended the way it did for him.

CNN interview preempted
by DevonMcBride inthe interview with jean kraus' daughter was supposed to air tonight on connie chung.
cnn called today and said it was pre-empted until next week.
that's a shame because it took a lot of courage for michelle, jean's daughter, to speak out.. i hope they do show the interview next week.. devon mcbride.
