Loss of AMC shows how can I get them?
by manicmama inas many of you may know, dishnet in it's infinite wisdom decided to drop all of their amc programming.
since many of you out there are much more tech savy than i, is there any way to get their programming such as a roku player with netflix or hulu plus?
i would like to tell dish to shove it, but i don't want to go to another cable service.

Get the cable or the DirectTV guy out there TOMORROW, and get rid of Dish. AMC says there isn't an alternative via Hulu or Netflix....

The interesting thing about the inscription on the Rosetta Stone itself is that it concerns the annual celebration of the king's birthday as a holiday. This gives important background to the story about the celebration of the royal birthday in 2 Maccabees 6:7 (from the same Seleucid era as the Rosetta Stone) and the story of the celebration of Pharaoh's birthday in Genesis 40:20 (of the same Egyptian setting as the Rosetta Stone).

We voted "truthiness" to be the word of the year. Well, technically, I voted for "Katrina'd", most voted for "truthiness" and it ended up being the right choice....whoever uses "Katrina" as a verb anymore....

He used to post here. High point was him denying that the city of Tyre still existed while the Israelis were bombing the heck out of it. Even after I proved to him that part of the modern city is located exactly where the ancient city used to be.

A cross is a stake. It just has an extra piece to it.

How many ex-jws poster here now believe in Hellfire, immortality of soul, trinity, etc;
by booker-t ini am just curious about this because although i agree with many of the posters here that the wt society is guilty of many horrible deeds, i still believe they are right when it comes to doctrinal things as i mention.
especially hellfire.
i just don't see how anybody that has studied the bible for many years like many of the ex-jws here can make an about face and go back to believing hellfire.

I find this to be a incredibly diverse thread. Isn't it funny how this thread has covered such wide-ranging subjects as the origin of monotheism, Gehenna, narrative style in Hebrew, Boeotian mythology, sects in Second Temple Judaism, Babylon as a metaphor for Rome....that's what I like about biblical topics, the potential topics are endless....
