Trinity Brochure
by flamegrilled inhas anybody heard an official reason that the trinity brochure is deceased?.
the gb have been released basically new versions of old brochures with wild abandon, and yet the trinity brochure which has absolutely no equivalent is no longer in print.. why?.
we all know there were dodgy references/quotations therein, but you would think by now the gb would have put some effort into a viable replacement if it were posssible.. nobody seems to be making too much of this as far as i can see.. the trinity brochure was very naughty.

Video stores in Australia are closing down....anyone know why?
by Witness 007 intwo video stores in my town closed down, but at least i have my blockbuster video store!
$30 a month and i can get 2 movie at a time all month.
yesterday i returned my movies and found they had closed, and a downsized civic dvd store has taken over at $6 per new movie!!!.

I think Blockbuster is totally dead now here. I went to one in its last few days of existence. They were selling DVDs at about fifty cents a pop. I kinda shook my head at it, thinking the expense of paying the workers to keep the place open and utilities would probably not make it worth it, particularly since the majority of the inventory would just be destined for a landfill anyway.

The Tyre prophecy in Ezekiel 29 is one failed prophecy. Nebuchadnezzar never destroyed and plundered Tyre like he was predicted to.
The author even admitted it. " Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon drove his army in a hard campaign against Tyre; every head was rubbed bare and every shoulder made raw. Yet he and his army got no reward from the campaign he led against Tyre" (v. 18). This is NOT what the original prophecy had expected (see ch. 26-28). And so Ezekiel updated with a new prophecy about Egypt claiming that Yahweh would give Nebuchadnezzar Egypt instead of Tyre, written a few years before Nebuchadnezzar's campaign against Egypt (v. 19-20; cf. ch. 29, 30-32 which is a much earlier prophecy about the conquest of Egypt, which had already failed since Apries had fled Egypt when the usurper Amasis took the throne). Yet history shows that this prophecy was also a spectacular failure.... sure i grew up in a bigoted cult who hates gay people.. now i'm an atheist who has no reason to care about anyones sexual prefferences.. .

Lore....Interestingly, your link to the Wikipedia article on BIID/apotemnophilia discusses current ongoing scientific research by Paul McGeoch and V. S. Ramachandran that recognizes that this condition is a neurological disorder closely connected to phantom limb syndrome. Ramachanran theorizes that in both there is an underlying disconnect between the brain's expectations and the material reality of the body, a mismatch that can be inborn in the case of a problem in the parietal cortex or acquired later in life through the loss of a limb. This video btw focuses on three different examples of neurological conditions that produce responses that a psychoanalyst or psychologist might mistake as delusions. Numbers don't really have colors but they are perceived that way by someone with synesthesia because of how the brain processes sense information. A person might sense pain from a body part that doesn't exist or feel that a body part is a foreign object, and that results from a conflict between sense information and the brain's expectations of the body. Your post also implies that the way trans people perceive themselves is a matter of psychological delusion ("their insanity", "seeing black helicopters"), when it may very well be a matter of neurology pertaining to how a person's mind interfaces with the rest of their body. Some fifty years ago, autism was regarded by the experts as a psychosis much like schizophrenia, but now it understood that autistic people are not delusional but have different neurology and perceive the world a little differently; it is not a matter of having delusions and being insane.

It started out as another incredibly lopsided uncompetitive borrrrrring WTA GS final....at least Radwanska got the middle set after coming close to getting bageled in the first. But things used to be a lot more competitive. There were great rivalries in the past. WTA tennis was awesome in the days of Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova, and Monica Seles. We need more people in the WTA like Serena (or like Kim Clijsters, Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, Francesca Schiavone). Like really, really bad.
