  What was your turning point?

  what was it that was the real eye opener for you?.

  for me, it was after watching the video, "jehovah's witnesses; a non-prophet organization," and the point on how the org puts itself in a place between jesus and mankind.

  a position which does not exist scripturally.

  The UN thing.

  That was what broke their grip on my mind. The open hypocrisy was more than I could stomach. I realized then that THEY don't believe what they teach. Until then I thought they were sincere; but after that I realized they were worse than merely wrong. Everything else just was mere confirmation of the sickening blow to the gut I felt when I realized that they had ridden the wild beast and were just as bad as the rest of Babylon the Great - or so I believed then. I'm more pragmatic now, of course, but I'm not getting back on the carousel, either.

  Let's do something big for this year's memorial !

  enough of the wts intimidation and getting away with all sorts of crap.

  we, "the people", have more power than they, "the establishment", do.. this year i propose that we make ourselves heard and noticed.

  that as many people as possible protest at their beloved memorial - the one event that is "most sacred" to them.. i am not suggesting that we disrupt or do anything illegal but simply that we exercise our right to take up their offer of free wine and make a statement.. go, drink.

  Czar, I don't think it's too feminine, I think it's too whiny. We're so conditioned to "my way now, f*k you" it's tough to be patient.

  You have a good point. Maybe what I meant was that it isn't mature enough, feminine or masculine aside. Is it just me, or does the music, especially the alternative, seem kinda wussy? I mean, it's one thing to be pissed at your parents, but do we really need another album's worth of "My Father hated me" stuff from Staind? (How immature not to spell Stained correctly, either! Too impatient for an E? I mean, Frankie's all about the E! )

  A genuinely feminine culture would probably be a wonderful place to live, since genuine masculinity would be valued; and vice versa.

  I dunno, I was serious about the Nyquil. I've been having a sinus thing, and right now I'm kinda dazed.

  i'm not so sure about the jewish-christian borderline, but i love the nuance.. so which sentence suits you better?.

  If he really had healing powers, then no, it is not exploitation.

  If he does not - which I suspect is the case - then yes, it is the worst kind of exploitation; as it may stumble those who are genuinely seeking God. Millstones around the neck and pitch him into the sea!

  The present government of Germany has declared emphatically against Big Business oppressors and in opposition to the wrongful religious influence in the political affairs of the nations. Such is exactly our position.

  The letter from Rutherford, in addition to being as astounding a piece of racist appeasement claptrap as I have ever heard, is patently wrong in so many areas. I wonder if Rutherford wasn't trying to lay the groundwork for eventual Nazi victory? He made several talks indicating that the Germans would win, I recall from CoC.

  Was Rutherford a Nazi sympathizer?
