  I remember the Society said that vasectomies and hysterectomies wouldn't be healed in the New System. Or somebody said that they said that. I never saw it, but that was the consensus when the subject came up in the car group.

  i would say it would be the catholic cause you can do just about any dam thing you want.

  and if you feel like you need to be close to god or something you can always go light some candles and wear a cross or put on a pointed hat or a white collar or deprive yourself of women or men in the case of nuns.

  and you get to hear funny boys sing chants, and you also can put some real holly water on your head that the priest got from the sink oh and you can wear saint christopher's.

  Ah. Now I see. Yeah, I'd hate to think that somebody would keep me out a hospital room where my czarina was sick. In fact, I think I'd have to exercise my second amendment rather vigorously if they tried.

  Health benefits are very important, and I think that it is becoming a national security issue that everyone has them - but that's another thread.

  Okay. You've got my vote. Get a referendum up and I'll support it.

  Besides, this might help pull the teeth out of the Moral Majority and I can have my Republican party back again.

  I appreciate that it's hard to resist taking potshots - but if you are going to set the rules, which you have every right to do, it helps keep people happy if you follow them too, although you certainly don't have to and nobody can make you, cause you da man who run dis place.

  I support free expression. Call my boy Bush the idiot son of an asshole if you want, just let the other side have their way too, eh?

  Are you saying that there is a difference between insulting a public figure and another poster? Which is an interesting thread topic all on its own.

  Future Generations.

  as a child, i always seemed to be the youngest one.

  i was almost the youngest in my class at school, the youngest out of my cousins and the youngest in the cubs or boy scouts.

  i remember once, at age 10, we were asked to work out how old we would be in the year 2000, wow, i would be 53!

  Thanks for the reassuring words. Getting older is something I ponder a lot, having never had to contemplate it before dubdom failed me.

  It is nice when the older folks point out the good points to getting older as well as the obvious bad ones.

  I turn 26 next week, so I was thinking along these lines a lot.

  It's snowing here.................1st time in 2 years

  i woke up to snow this morning.

  we have had another major rain storm, with flooding and all the "benefits" of that, yesterday and all night.

  when i got up a little while ago, i saw the ground covered with snow, and it is still coming down.

  My grandma used to live in the Adirondacks, and she'd always call when she got her first two feet of snow. usually around November 1st.
