it has long been noticed that the book of acts shifts from first to third person and back when describing the legendery travels of paul.
the author alternates between "we"/"us" to "they" when describing the same characters and narrative.
this is first seen in chapt.

the April 1 st WT dealing with 666. They say here that some have had fanciful and contrived ideas in the past that 666 was the Roman Papacy or a Roman emperor. The truth is those fanciful ideas were in fact ours. If you read the Finished Mystery you would know that.

It reminds me of another interesting case on the Watchtower mag of Jan 1, 1986 (portuguese edition), which says that "some have suggested" that the count of horsemen of Revelation were 5, not 4, when in fact was the GB themselves who had taught this all along.

The two statements above are exactly the ones that caught my attention too. Isn't it amazing how the Soc moves away from dogmatic positions taught for so many decades? How clever! Not even a word about the past position. It will take just a few more decades for the 'human rulers' to become "tools" of God (shaking head in disbelief).

I am disgusted when I think how this religion has robbed us of precious TIME. So much so that I have a difficult time shifting my focus to the present with hopes that I can find some personal success. My only purpose at this time is to provide for my family.
Robing people of precious time is, in my view, one of the worst things of this religion. I agree 100% with you on the above.

my mother passed away in february.
she was a pioneer for 40 years and steadfast in her jw beliefs to the day she died.
i flew to kentucky to find her cold and dead in her bed.
Or maybe he meant "millions now living will never die" in God's eyes. There really is a lot of ways to rationalize that if one wants.
