I just wanted to say that although the elders did a good job handling the situation, "inbyathread" did an even better job by keeping his poise, his control, and commanding the situation.
Is this type of collection and coolness that I think is so beautiful.
His initial statement about doing a documentary on the "tactics of a high controlling religion" and question about the "holy spirit" were soooooo precious...
When a person does what "inbyathread" did, it clearly, and I mean CLEARLY, shows that the Organization holds NO MORE power over him/her. It sends a powerful message across: "I am cool; you're not in control of my life any longer; I AM."
Thank you for showing us how to do it.

They registered the term Zestimate. The zestimation of my home was right in the money. The guy who created this thing is the same guy who created expedia.com; he claims that more than 3 terabytes of data was gathered to make it.
Now you can find out how much that old KH is worth too!!!

i went back to my flat earlier this afternoon to pick some things up, i am moving out of there slowly, and was carrying a heavy box out to my car when i stumbled and dropped it on my foot.
it wasn't too painful, thankfully, but i came out with a stream of expletives, most of them beginning with f. when i was a jw, even thinking those words would have filled me with shame.

Sad news from Maui
by Makena1 inwe went to our favorite beach, met up with some of our local friends.
we don't have much in the way of details - but heard some devasting news that ari (well known to seattle area exjw's and i am sure by many on the board) killed himself sometime over last weekend.
he was so excited about moving to maui, and starting a new life here.
