OK ? found the ?Thy Kingdom Come? book on the net ( http://www.mychris.tk/ ) and I?m having some fun reading it. FYI I?ve cut and paste a few choice passages and have included the links.
THE "Time of the End," a period of one hundred and fifteen (115) years, from A. D. 1799 to A. D. 1914, is particularly marked in the Scriptures. "The Day of His Preparation" is another name given to the same period?

by minimus inmost jws seem to be "devout" in that they go to 5 meetings and out in field service.
yet, many also lived double lives.
were you a true-blue jw or were you a faker?

I'm sooooo happy I'm out. The "world" is NOTHING like I was lead to believe. I remember some of my past thought-processes, and it astounds me (now). I was an honest believer...
Ironically, when I left, it wasn't devestating (as I had imagined it would be), but a relief. A huge relief. I see my one sis, she's a pioneer, married to an MS, shuns me completely (like a good JW), and I see myself a few years back.
I have absolutely no guilt about my life now, no regrets.

I was an "example". A die-hard believer. I trusted the organization and looked forward to "the light getting brighter". I was an elders wife and pioneer. I TRULY believed if I did everything "right" Jehovah would bless me. Any problems I had, I blamed on Satan.
Makes me sick to write the above , but thats how I was. I was so closed-minded. Any doubts I had, I brushed aside and had that "waiting" attitude.

The Resurrection Hope - what a crock!

mary is married to an unbeliever called john, who is a good kind man, and one who never interfered with her worship.
adelle on the otherhand, is married to a jw elder, who, unbeknownst to her, has been molesting children in the congregations over many years.

Okey - this popped out at me.
Angels cannot die???? The resurrected ones cannot die anymore???? So in the FINAL (final?) end, after the 1000 years, its only armegeddon survivors and those born afterwards that revolt and die? Isn't Satan an angel? Will he die?
Anyhoo - even as a dub I never believe the resurrected ones wouldn't marry.

I am absolutely DUMBFOUNDED!!!! This makes the Watchtower and Awake! look like top-notch publications... Even the Society acknowledged the past existence of Neanderthals, saying that they didn't look much different than modern-day humans (I think they said you could sit beside one on a bus and not be able to tell????). These comics are aimed at kids. Fear, ignorance, blind-faith... sick.

Have you ever thought maybe it's not to manipulate people......but because someone CARES where YOU are going to spend eternity after you die?
Sounds like the same reasoning for shunning....
My family isn't trying to manipulate me ... but because someone CARES where YOU are going to spend eternity (as bird feed at the big A or happily, on a paradise earth)
BLAHHHHHH This type of "christian" logic is what makes "New Age" so appealing - at least we're all gods
