  i wonder if anyone else has had this experience or know of others who have.

  when i was disfellowshipped, i approached another disfellowshipped person after the memorial celebration and asked him over for some refreshments and conversation.

  he turned down my invitation saying that the elders had told him that he could not even talk to other disfellowshipped persons unless and until both he and they were reinstated!

  This is a common requirement of the elders. In order for a DF person to "prove" they are repentant they cannot associate with "worldly" people or other DF persons. Associating with these people apparently is clear proof the person still likes the world and does not qualify for reinstatement. Of course they cannot associate with JWs either, so they are in a very real sense put into 'no man's' land.

  It is yet another example of how WT controls a person's life, despite the fact that WT itself no longer even considers the DF person a JW. It is beyond absurd.

  It means that if a DF person wants back into the Org. they cannot have any friends, not even acquaintances, in their life.

  you guys might recall that when the 2013 yearbook came out, the letter from the governing body ended a bit unusually:.

  we love you all very much.

  We would never read a WT lesson and say that it was in error, or doubt what we read

  So, the "ancient worthies" were resurrected in 1925 and Abraham is the ruler of New York City? And Armageddon came in 1914? Good to know those things came true just as WT said they would. I never doubted for a moment.

  I've just checked out that picture, it could be the injured mans own hand that is near his crotch?

  So it'll be a WT lesson covering superficial kindness and masterbation? Great! I guess with fewer issues and fewer pages, WT has to cover as many topics as possible in each lesson.

  watchtower uses the following twisted logic to equate receiving a blood transfusion, with feeding on blood:.

  Apog: the hurricane coming through NYC mentioned that the friends organized an effort that 'enabled them to help' each other and non-believers. It didn't say that they actually helped anyone

  WT's version of "helping people", as mentioned in the article, was to preach to them. Providing food, clothing, shelter? Nada.

  let us read a recent watchtower publication:.

  many medical professionals and other advocates of blood transfusion appeal to people to donate blood in hopes of saving lives.

  however, jehovahs holy people acknowledge that the creator has the right to say how blood is to be treated.

  They seem to be using the word Holy in this magazine numerous times, maybe they are moving away from the term 'Holy spirit'

  WT's use of the word "holy" in reference to its doctrines is more closely related to full-of-holes Swiss cheese hole-ee, than 'pure and clean' holy.
